Heh, so as it happens, shortly after this exchange, I decided to see if I could get the program I use installed on the newer computer (it's been on the old one up til now, and the slower render times was what was putting me off to doing more tuts). I was able to get it installed and running, so I'd say that it's significantly more probable that I can get more tutorials made. Maybe even start in earnest on the book idea.

These days I use 6mm jute rope, in 25' and 12.5' lengths.
