I went through your gallery and skimmed your front page, I completely missed you were from Longview, though I was doing a search for Longview...
My wife and I almost went to the Balloon Race thing, didn't for some reason or another. 
Personally though, floating around in a wicker basket under what amounts to a poofy parachute while using a flamethrower to puff it full of hot air, kind of seems a tad risky to me.

Yeah, I don't think you'd catch me up in one either. I got lucky and was living about 1/4 mile from the launch site, was able to get great shots right over my house. They were still flying low enough for us to wave to the pilots and them wave back! It was really cool seeing all of them at once though!
