I just don't want children. I don't like anything about them, I don't want to spend my money on them, I don't want to dedicate the time and effort that it takes to be a mother, I want to travel spontaneously without worrying about where the kids will go, I want to do a lot of things in my life that would only be difficult or impossible with kids in the way and I also don't have the patience or temperament.
All in all it's a mixture of things. Besides the fact I dislike children in general, I know I would make a horrible parent and they would also inherit a number of genetic disorders (OCD, Tourettes, IBS, etc).

Wow, I myself don't particularly want children, but I'd be more than happy to take part in the process. But, I don't necessarily dislike kids, but being the oldest kid myself, I've grown up watching the younger ones.
But, I see why you'd want to be 'childfree' if you're wanting to do all those things, myself, I want to move to Los Angeles and maybe settle down there. So, I'm not in any hurry to do much traveling after that...
