# About me

I am a fan of erotic fantasy and science fiction art. When not drawing I love to read and listen to music and spend time in the outdoors coming up with new art ideas.

Many of my creations come from past challenges of life or relate to current ones in some form or another. After having an accident several years ago and becoming physically challenged, it made me revisit my love for creating things for others to enjoy.

Visiting for the first time since March, and very much enjoyed the images you've posted since then. The non-bondage work, in particular, is very erotic and atmospheric. Delicious use of the color palette to capture a moment.

First of all many of these figures I have to purchase some of which costing up to about $100 so I tend to utilize what I can because as we all know income isn't unlimited. Secondly due to my severe physical disability I try to save myself a little bit of time and save my hands which don't work all that well as it is. Your point is well taken and I am redoing some of my current library figures to make them different. As far as poses, again many of these I either spend many long hours creating my hand working within the limitations I do have or I use purchased ones to make my work somewhat easier. I do not claim to be a professional artist that does this for a full time living. I am no longer really doing fetish works as it is. So please bear in mind an artists circumstances when posting a comment as not all of us have every resource available at our disposal and work with the constraints we have and try our best with what we have. So I hope you understand what I am getting at and I ask that if you enjoy my work be patient while i go back to my drawing board and try to re-engineer what I do have to work with.

My intent was not to be abrupt nor brusque that is certainly not in my nature. I did address the disability issue awhile back in my journal, but to be fair I will explain it again. Due to a rather horrific auto accident I had my neck broken, needless to say the outcome left me with no feeling from the shoulders down and unable to walk. My hands however do work but not overly well, so I try to make things in advance or reuse a lot of things in my art so I don't push my hands to the breaking point. I am aware of some repetition in some works and the poses could be slightly better and it is something I am working on so that you will maintain interest, the same for some characters I use, I am working on altering the ones I do have to make them different enough to keep the interest levels up. I do appreciate your observations and it's comments such as this that make us all push to excel even more of ourselves and each of your concerns have been duly noted and rest assured I am working on them diligently as we speak. Never hesitate to point something out that can be done better or differently. With such observations we can never hope to achieve the goal of being above mediocrity.

Deviantart is MADE for artists exploring the edges and fringes of the creative imagination and I appreciate all the bold and brave artists like Maya Dominguez who bring forth their talent and vision, sharing it with the world on portals such as this. Art is meant to resonate, teach, disturb, and more. Powerful art moves us, and weak expressions bore us. If art moves us to feel negative emotion then it is up to us as a community of artists to open up DIALOG about it, not go about willy-nilly censoring the work that was powerful enough to move us emotionally to begin with.

What are your thoughts?

Well stated and amen. If we are not allowed to explore and create then what purpose does Deviant Art serve anyone, I guess they must have forgotten part of the title in their name. An artists community is just that, artists creating what they feel, not creating according to the wishes of those who fail to even understand art in the first place.

Hi Maya,

Got here (for the very first time; welcome to DA!) via Caljedi's Favorites gallery, and I very much enjoyed taking a good long while to view your posted work. I'm not really a fan of skeletons or monsters in sexual situations (maybe I'm weird), but I do appreciate a good bondage scene, and you're doing fine with the CG app. Nice props, nice riggings, some really good facial expressions. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the comment. Many of those were earlier experiments and I decided I didn't like them so I have gone back to the old bondage routine, so I am thrilled you enjoy those and I'll post more as soon as I can for you.

I hope everyone enjoys the work and if you have any fun ideas post them to me and I'll see what I can conjure up. Thank you everyone who has picked a favorite or commented here, I do read them and appreciate each person who takes the time to view my works.
