Aww thank you for the compliment! ^-^ I really do put lots of effort into what I write, now more than ever. It's totally okay for people to keep coming in and complimenting me -- helps with the ol' self-esteem quite a bit, and it's humbling, too. When I first started out I never would've imagined I'd get such a significant number of people who genuinely enjoy what I write. But hey. Life's full of surprises.

I personally think, with how close they were, this could have happened in the show had they chosen to grow Knockout's character a little more. It's so obvious they were closer than just doctor and assistant -- they were friends. But because of how the Decepticon hierarchy functions, he had to keep that "revenge" idea under wraps, as showing weakness of any kind implies that you aren't strong enough for your position, ergo that makes you replaceable. This could have just as easily happened "behind the scenes" in the show and we just never saw it.

Oh good. I just thought I'd ask cause I know he'll be back, but the series will end and be replaced with the next series, Cyberverse. Which I'm not sure if it's gonna be aligned or something new. Truthfully, I find it hard to cope with something new considering I was so used to the current continuity, and I felt like the Unicron Trilogy, the aligned thing would have at least one more show before it ends. But seeing the fact that what we got after Prime and the War for Cybertron Games weren't anywhere near what they used to be, I wouldn't mind having a taste of something outside this continuity. I just think it's time to give it a rest and go into something like maybe a cartoon version of IDW comics or something or other. 

Btw, I enjoy reading your fanfiction. I also like the fact that you brought predacons and old characters back instead of leaving them out for "animals." I'm also doing a fanfiction related to multiple cartoons, and I wanted to read good ones to see how they're done without copying from them, this way I don't make a cringy fanfiction. Don't worry, your's is great, unlike the show which by this point feels like fanfiction.

Yeah. The thing that bugs me the most is the obvious "downgrade" in writing style -- painfully obvious when going from Prime to RiD. It's practically a slap to the face. You don't need to make a cartoon for younger viewers "dumber" -- you're insulting children by insinuating their intelligence is so poor that they need "dumber" writing. Honestly, when comparing RiD to Rescue 'Bots, the latter has more coherent story lines and better written characters. And then of course when they shoe-horned Rescue 'Bots in (which makes NO SENSE continuity wise) I just noped and gave up on RiD. I really want to try writing an entirely original "universe" at some point, but that takes a lot of work and I'm a busy, busy Lit. major xD.

Glad you enjoy! That Predacons are basically ignored in the series entirely (aside from a flashback from Starscream in Season 3 I think...) irked me, so I created backstories for them: like the Predacus Council (their government; strictly speaking that was ArdentAspen's idea but I did some tweaking), their belief systems, abilities, and customs being pretty alien to city-dweller 'bots like 'Bee, political tension brought on by them being considered a "minority" effectively in the political realm of the cities and because they, in two words, "aren't us" in the eyes of the city-dwelling populace. I also wanted to break the trope of Predacons being "noble savages" in so many other fictions and so created Zodiac, a skittish, socially inept Predacon who's actively assimilated into city-dweller culture (and is an accomplished scientist) while still maintaining her "heritage," and who can be pretty subtly passive aggressive towards the High Council when it comes to relations with Earth (as seen through her many, many nods towards Earth culture, pop and historical) and Frostbite, a Predacon rescue worker who's earned the respect of most of Iacon but isn't quite so assimilated as Zodiac is only because he's proud of his heritage and remains culturally aloof so to speak.

My whole point in writing NotB is to add flavor that the show repeatedly passes up, write their own characters and plots better, and have better continuity. Of course, my plot's going to go in a totally different direction soon...

Btw, I'd also like to note that one of the producers of the show expressed that the show was ending, while sounding obviously frustrated with the hate the series had got. Can't remember the name, but from what I can tell, he doesn't know too much about the next series. I can feel for the guy cause he liked working on the show; it's just not meant for the audience of Transformers the way it came out. Maybe if it were a series of it's own it'd be fine because Prime fans would know the show ends with Predacons Rising. In fact, I'd even say this may just be another timeline where the Prime show continues with a different outcome, thanks to the splintered timeline concept of Transformers lore.

The same could also be said for your fanfiction too, which could also be another timeline where the Prime cartoon does continue, but not in the same way as RID depicts it to be.

RID isn't bad like Transformers Energon by any means, but it certainly has it's flaws. I just think it could use some improvement. Same with other cartoons on TV now, such as Teen Titans Go (really it just needs to be replaced by something else at this point) or Fairly Oddparents (which I can't tell if it's being cancelled or not).

Strictly speaking that's exactly what NotB is -- RiD taken down another, better written road, with better adherence to the timeline of Prime. Three years, as the show states, is not enough to completely rebuild society (that's just not feasible) so I extended it to, say, maybe 10-ish years for rebuilding, and 60 years or so has passed since then. Backdraft, the youngest character at a mental age of his late teens, is physically only 45 years old.
