Yeah, I'm totally killing Kei with my questions MWAHAHAHA. No, really, I'm just interested since Finnish is my mother tongue and it's not many people who even recognize it outside Finland and The Canaries (I actually got asked what language I spoke with my friends when I was in London, gsus). : D

Haha as I look thru Yuzukko's art (my all time fave artist) I saw your sig and for some reason I was like "Oh, Finnish" and had to stop on by. Yeah, it's a lame reason, but it gave me a reason to look at someone else's work now

Hey, the first time someone has wandered here because I'm Finnish! XD I see you have, too, Finnish in your sig. "Porot ovat söpöjä", that's sweet. I also see you're - at least - residing in US, so may I ask you boring questions about such things as how much do you know Finnish, why Finnish (such a small country and complicated language) and do you have some connections to Finland? Can you speak Finnish? (I'm totally blabbering now...)

Hehe, okay. Finnish is one hellofa language, I would never, never study Finnish if it wasn't my mother tongue
(btw, by the "omena-song" you don't mean the terrible song that goes "olen omena, olen omena, olen pyöreä omena", do you?) But you know, I just LOOVE weird and stupid phrases! Finnish is The language for those things. We have some syllables and words that just sound so simply idiotic.
And do you really think reindeer are cute? o_O

I got OLEN OOMEENAA stuck in my head for weeks and weeks. It was terrible. Something to say "I see" in Finnish, you say? How about "Ymmärrän", which is literally "I understand", but it's short and narjakka. You know the thing about the verbs and the subjects or whatever (you know), I don't know these things in English... :S

It was almost epidemic. Everybody sung it and everybody was driven up the walls by it all at the same time. At one time everyone ended it with a beautiful "olen omena, olen oomeenaa, olen PERRRRKELE". (Now, I assume you must know what "perkele" means.) Finnish is not just grammatically difficult but pronouncing it is way too problematic, too.

Lol, luckily I avoided it. I do remember being told about a class that would always sing The Candy Man hehe...and yeah, I still have no clue how to pronounce...I try over voice on msn but I am always told I am way wrong....need a working mic on the other side lol...and ya notice your whole main page is just one long convo between us? I haven't looked, but I am going to assume it's getting there.
