Are you going to update your journal?
Did you ever get your camera fixed?
Thanks for the faves.

LOL, no camera still not fixed, so no deviantart for me. I should start drawing again in the meantime, I use to love that.

I try to stay diverse. I have a belief that a good photographer should know enough about the techniques, technicalities and their equipment to be able to make a decent shot of any style or subject. Sure, a specialist may do a bit better, but they will be way out of their depth when covering another subject. I've worked as a freelance sports photojournalist, and freelance editorial photojournalist, but my qualifications are as a Fine Art photographer. I just love my photography, so I'll shoot anything from industrial to fine art nudes to landscapes to portraiture/fashion to conceptual. Everything I do, every mistake I make, I learn a bit more about the craft, and about myself and the environments in which I move through as a participant/observer.

I really admire that. I know I mainly just stick to one genre, but right now as I am still mostly starting out that is where I feel most comfortable. My goal is to branch out and be more of a jack of all trades like yourself, but I think that will come with time, knowledge and confidence. Thank you for all the critiques and advice you have offered me. I appreciate it so much. I never would have thought of the beanbag idea lol, but I am going to try it, and I am trying to get my hands on the ND filter, but there's nothing like that where I live so I have to find a good place online. Thanks again!

Try B&H, [link] for the filters. At least they're on the same continent as you. I've ordered stuff from them and it has got to Australia no problems. Their prices are good too.
