Hey there ... yeah I haven't been much around lately, that's because I've moved to my mother's place, and we have no internet access yet. But I'm taking care of this within the next few months

Hey, thanks again for dropping by my site and sharing a few words with me. Yeah, my intention was not to tear down folks by describing what was going on behind the closed doors of CalArts, but unfortunately, the school is embroiled in politics and various forms of administration that leave alot to be desired. However, the experience of being around other animators is a good schooling in and of itself. I think that, if nothing else, being around those fellow animators and creators is what has fueled my desire to become better at what I do. So, don't dread coming here, but rather be aware of what pitfalls to avoid, and what kind of obstacles you may face. Get going on constructing portfolios and contacting companies even in your first year; you'll be happy for it later on. And, if you can, I would *highly* suggest that you get a clean color wheel and some hue-saturated material prepared, as you will have in your first year a color design teacher that you will want to avoid at all costs. If you show him that you have had previous experience in constructing color design assignments and such, then you can get out of his class. You *want* to do this, trust me!........

BTW, looking through your gallery, I thought you might like to take a look through this guy's work:
[link]
His name is Paul Linsley; he just graduated this year from CalArts. I don't know where he's headed to next, but he was a good guy to have known while he was there. His animation skills are at the same par as his rendered material (Bully Boys, The Perfect Rose, two films that he submitted this year).
