I know a few tricks to making quick, nice-looking backgrounds. My friend shared them with me, so I'd be glad to pass them on!! But, you should give me some pointers too Like, how do you have the patience to draw those awesome, detailed ornamental outfits? *____*

Anyway, I can send you a note or something, or whatever, with tips on making backgrounds, or anything else you want to know (out of the things I do know, which isn't much).

Ohhh awesome! >v< That would be great. As for the detailed outfits, that was something I more acquired over time. ;u; I have been in the Dynasty Warriors fandom for the entirety of my teenage life, and the characters are all so complex in details (such as: [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] )
So to draw fanart of any of the characters, I had this perfectionism in which I had to make an accurate drawing of them. ;u; Because of this, I had to get used to having patience. Patience brought great rewards when it came to these characters. xD
So that's pretty much it. It was just an acquired patience over time. uwu

It is a video game, yeah. :3 All of the characters are based off of historical Chinese people back in the Han Dynasty / Three Kingdoms era, which was around 180-250 AD depending on the character.
However, if you are expecting historical accuracy from the game, you will be greatly disappointed. Dynasty Warriors is based off of Ancient China, yes, but the story and character biographies are a little different in-game. Especially when it comes to married characters- even if historically their marriage was terrible, Dynasty Warriors tends to make it a happy marriage. UvU;
Some of the character are based on folklore, legends or myths though. It's a fun game~ they recently came out with Dynasty Warriors 8, and the character designs are the ones from the new game. ^o^ It's coming out in July. Most of my favourite designs are from 6 and 7, though. :3
AMD that would be awesome. OwO Loki and Thor are super cool characters. *O*!!

Dynasty Warriors 8 is technically 7 in Japan 'cause overseas counts the very first game, while in Japan they don't. ... I think that is the reason, anyway. >.<
Here is the actual official website for Dynasty Warriors 8, [link] click on "Characters" to see all of the people, and click on their name to see more, such as their full body render or hearing their voice. ^O^ When you click on a character's name and their close-up image shows up, the far left button at the bottom left is to see the full body render, the middle one is to hear their voice, and the right one is to see a video of them in battle.

The dark blue army is Wei, the red army is Wu, the green army is Shu, while the light blue army is Jin, which is basically a branch of Wei. After Wei's long reign, Jin takes over because the ruler of Wei is no longer fit to run the place.

Hahaha - just looking through the red army - the Wu guys. It's like...all these scary looking men with scars and scowls and then all of a sudden - super pretty girl who looks like the image of innocence. XD And then there's super cute that guy that I keep seeing in your gallery XD

LOL yeah, Wu has a lot of macho looking men XDD and then all the females are super pretty, none of them look battle hardened at all. And yes! The super cute guy's name is Lu Xun, Lu being his last name. His birth name was Lu Yi, but he changed it. OvO He was a very smart strategist who is well-known for his fire attack against Shu~ But historically, he died in grief. Or was is spite? Either way he wasn't a happy camper when he died. He's my second favourite character. UwU

I know ;;A;; the gameplay has improved from 7 and I am left in awe. UwU Some of the weapons are so unrealistic. Like flying swords. xDD But it's still really fun.
No, you don't need to play the first game. Each Dynasty Warriors game is basically the same story with better graphics, gameplay and more characters added. But I think they go more and more in depth when it comes to the stories every game
Many people in the Dynasty Warriors fandom consider Dynasty Warriors 6 to be the worst out of all the games. xD So I wouldn't suggest starting with that one.
There are also Empire versions, where you can customize your own characters. >w< The most recent one is 7 Empires. It's translated into English, but doesn't have English voice acting, that stayed in Japanese. So there are English subtitles and translations and yeah. You can marry whoever you want and rule your own kingdom and it's fun. xD
You can see the trailer for Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires here: [link] the character creation is shown at around 1:14~ *O* There are many options and you can unlock more outfits later on. You can pick any weapon in the game for them to use, too~ ;v;

Oh oh there is also the Warriors Orochi series that is a mix of Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors (a game based on Japanese history), but Warriors Orochi is its own original story with mythical creatures and stuff. Hahaha |D unfortunately in Dynasty Warriors you don't have an endless country to explore ;;A;; you can go into battles and then you can go into town. That's about it. ;3; Ughh an open world would be so fun though. Amg I love Skyrim.

And if Zelda were open country game too?? That would be stellar! Video Game companies - just get it in your head that everyone wants open country games and then make things awesome, k thanks.

But still, even without the open country, Dynasty Warriors sounds like it makes up for it in story lines and animation and characters and graphic and awesome. Hehe~

I mean it's pretty open as is, though I just remember from Twilight Princess because that's the most recent one I've played durr hurr, but it isn't as open as other games. QuQ

I recommend Shadow of the Colossus...it's for PS3 too and you kill giant rock monsters and ride a horse and grab onto birds and fly around wheeee~~~ and kill lizards, and - you just gotta play it. Here's some video for ya: [link]

And yes, open country Zelda would be top notch! *twirls around* So, you haven't played Skyward Sword? The best thing about that game is the graphics and Ghirahim...the story isn't dark enough for me - but, whatevs. It's still pretty cool - (but it doesn't beat Twilight Princess - hoho!)

And yees!! PS3 is my favorite gaming system now - but, my brother hoarded it to his room ever since I left for college and now I can't play it >.<;; That's fine. I'll buy my own...once I get a job *shot*
