You somewhat answered your own question. I'm the only person around who's *not* busy...and with so many ways to take up the time (and I've found a few that could consume hundreds upon hundreds of hours), it's not hard to see how someone can just get lost in the crowd, so to speak.

I heard that you like Charlie, you know, that South Park female OC who looks like a boy and iβm going to ask you a question: Why you and many people love her? I donβt get why she gets so much love, i mean, she is a bad role model for women, she is extremely weak and passive, she is easily manipulated, she is often pushed around by the boys, she is a total ditz and the fanfic βMysterion has tittyvisonβ,(which was written by the same person who created Charlie and Charlie obviously appears on this fanfic) is very sexist because implies that girls canβt be super heroes and Charlie appears to doesnβt know about super heroes in general, plus, in almost all of the fanfics that she appears, she is usually mistreated or rejected by the boys, they constantly view her as being inferior because of her gender and these fanfics were written from the fall of 2011 until 2012, other thing that iβve noticed is that the boys(save for Cartman)act exactly in the way that they acted in earlier seasons from South Park, they were just irredeemable jerks and even the fanfics that spended when the boys were in the fourth grade, they still were irredeemable jerks, even though later seasons made them nicer guys and the author seemed to have a weird obsession for Cartman and Kenny and Stan and Kyle were often overshadowed by them in most of the fanfics, the characters seems to hate Charlie for no reason, which is too exaggerated, even for South Park itself and everyone treats her poorly, iβm sorry, but as a girl, iβm tired of seeing female OCs being bland Mary Sues, Self-inserts or unpopular losers like Charlie.

Charlie? The girl with the cyan hat who's gone missing for years? Ah'unno, I just thought she was cute. The show South Park is also known for its humor involving racism, sexism, and just all-around pissing on political correctness; it's actually inspiring. All that said, I agree with you: I'm sick of bland self-insert cliches (such as OP Mary-Sues or, on the opposite extreme, angsty losers), and most of all, I am sick of all the "shipping" (SO sick of it, I had to build a destroyer specifically to counter that cliche: the whispered S.S. FUCK YOU!). Dick isn't exactly a self-insert, and I hope isn't bland or too overpowered (with strengths and weaknesses). Sorry to change the subject.

Itβs okay, i mainly wrote this comment because i was tired of seeing people praising a OC that isnβt that good, but like you said, i think that most people who like her is due to her cuteness, the fanfics involving Charlie were actually well-written(at least, most of them), but Charlie was just another OC whose personality traits are her being cute and idiotic, plus, she rarely do something immoral on the fanfics which make her almost a Mary Sue, she is like a female version from the dumb and loser male OC, but with very few flaws and we are talking about South Park fanfics! And the other thing that bugs me is that the author completely vanished from the web without any explanation(although she wrote a journal saying that she will be around just a bit, but from the middle of 2013 she became totally inactive)and she also hold some questionable views about women(and she was a woman herself).
