# About me

I was born in 1987 in Człuchow, a relatively small town in Poland, and lived there for the first many years of my life. I also lived in Gdynia by the Baltic Coast, but moved back “home” after a few years. Since then I have moved to Copenhagen in Denmark to live with my husband.

I have loved to draw for as long as I can remember. In that respect I am probably not much different from most other kids, but a few years back I found a website with literally hundreds of very, very talented artists, specializing in different art forms. Some are just “happy amateurs” and some are artists who are already quite known in the world. The site is called DeviantART. I got inspired. I got very inspired. And I started drawing again.

My education is now finished which means that I have much more time to do what I love the most: being creative. These days I feel like I am spending a huge amount of my time bent over a piece of paper or leaning away from the canvas in order to assess how the light is affecting the drawing when seen from different angles. Drawing is still my main passion, but from time to time I experiment with other media. Sometimes with success, sometimes with less, but when it comes to drawing, I feel that I have now reached a point where I am quite satisfied with what I do.

I primarily do portraits, and my style and focus in drawing is to capture as many details as possible. I have been known to redo parts of a portrait several times because it wasn’t QUITE right. Some days I am “in the mood” and a portrait may take as little as a few days to do, and sometimes I sit down and draw for 50-60 hours before I feel satisfied with the result.
