# About me
Hello and welcome to my page!I'm a down to earth, yoga loving thirty-something Irish woman living in Manchester. I was born and raised in lovely Donegal and my earliest memories are of contemplating the beauty of the countryside around me. I spent my youth exploring forests, fields, old abandoned farm houses and climbing trees! Nature was and still is my first real passion.
I was a dreamer and loved to draw, paint and write. I lost this when I was a teenager and have greatly missed being able to indulge in my creative side which had always been second nature to me. I have tried to begin again but I end up frustrated that I cannot get past the block.
My OH suggested that I try photography which I discounted for a while but I have discovered that I have a passion for taking pictures. I bought a Canon G12 Powershot a year ago and have loved getting to grips with it. I have always learned things better through trial and error so that is my general approach but I do some reading of the manual and online demo's every now and again!
Although nature is my passion, I can see beauty in most things and tend to take in every little detail around me. Through photography, I hope to be able to express my creative side, allow myself to grow through that expression and maybe even learn some new things along the way, both about photography and myself.
I very much enjoy looking at photos and art here and having a glimpse of how other's see the world around them.

I looked at it. How would one find your work there? I could not find how to zero in a particular artist.

When I try to submit works to groups here, it's often awkward as it won't allow me to add as I'm uploading so I keep having to go back and forth... I haven't got the patience for that, I'm a simple girl and like things to be simple! Also there seems to be many duff accounts on here and many spam emails...

I can see the the submission process as being cumbersome. It does not bother me so much as I don't submit everything to groups. I just put them out there and then decide later what I might put submit to a group.
I have never had any problems with spam emails or duff accounts. However, I am not a member so that maybe a reason. Also not as popular
Have to admit that the white used on redbubble pages is much better for displaying the images...

I agree with the white page being more suitable for viewing, also it's much less cluttered and generally much easier on the eye.

First of all thanks for watching.
I read your Intro, what I hardly do I admit, and find it very straight from
the heart and upright. If you like I gonna give you one or another
Idea-- critique forum is --with the min amount of words stuff-- a little nerdy to me.
As you might see it´s possible at DA to find sisters and brothers in mind and spirit
to cope with. >> Although I was several times near quitting DA because of the tons of trash some
people regard to be worth to submit.....

Thanks! Not much point in writing if it doesn't come from the heart! I have to admit that I do sometimes wonder if my pictures are nice to me simply because they are mine (if that makes sense) but others may not see them in the same way but I guess all that matters is that to me, they are nice. One person's trash is another's treasure and all of that!
