I saw you had posted on a submission called "The Convenience of Equality" by TESM and I just wanted to say that I greatly enjoyed it, particularly when you mentioned the infamous "slippery slope" and especially this:
"One could argue that man-woman marriage nowadays is in ruins, its true, but that's because we've had the moral foundation RIPPED out of our society."
Thanks for making my evening!

You're welcome. ^___^ I seriously am tired of all the emotional appeals made to accept this as the new norm.Β Emotional appeals make THE WORST arguments when concerning laws, but they are effective.Β Most people are either too short-sighted or willfully ignore the long-term consequences for the sake of a temporary "false peace" to avoid the damning label of 'homophobe.'Β Some of my family and longtime friends have practically copped-out on this issue, claiming they don't really care either way.Β One even cited her 'asexuality' as a reason why she can't have a say in this, even after openly saying she was for it for years.Β Its obvious that she's unsure and is tired of dealing with the issue, so she just gave herself an easy way out.
Just wait until they appeal for pedophilia.Β NAMBLA is already working on it, using the same arguments that the gay activists have been using for years, and with their close association with each other, they just might pull it off if no one bothers to resist early on.
I found a very good video of a testimony from a man who was raised by lesbians.Β He's just one of many, but his really stood out.Β I should probably post it somewhere.Β One of the best lines gave when talking about the lack of a father figure at home was that it "crushed his soul."Β His mannerisms and the way he dealt with people was severely compromised from the family dynamic he suffered at home (and it showed in the video, at least, I was able to tell, I don't know if others would), even though, yes, he loved both of them.Β In fact, he preferred the company of his mother's partner which certainly didn't sit well with his real mother.Β Another favorite line actually came from an article he wrote for an ex-gay website (he came out of his childhood experience a bisexual) was that when your home life is so different from most of the others around you, "you grow up weird."Β He didn't suffer any discrimination partly because no one knew what was really going on and if they did, it was never addressed.Β I also loved how in the video he described his first experience being with a woman instead of a man, that it "made you vulnerable" because of the difference of the sexes, but it also made the relationship much deeper and more fulfilling.Β By the way that woman is his wife now, go figure!
In a world that increasingly treats children as commodities, where some will spare no expense to get them when they want them, and set them up as trophies or at the very least as arm candy, and others will throw them away when they're inconvenient, born or not, and others still outright exploit them, born or not (don't even get me started on what some doctors are hoping to do with the ovaries of an aborted girl!), its amazing we're still here.Β Its all about the selfish adults.Β I've learned so much on my journey to the other side of the issue, there are times I wish I could just shoot myself for being so stupid and get away from it all.
Okay, here's a great quote I found somewhere I feel is very relevant to the gay marriage issue: "When you enjoy a behavior, it is not correct to say that it is what is right.Β The worst liars are our feelings."Β So true.Β I should know, I'm an emotional wreck myself at times.

Haha, you are sadly quite correct. Feelings are the most common and most effective means to persuade, even when the situation should be obviously bad, and they are really not even arguments but just feelings that can and will change in a snap.
I understand the feelings of your friends, I myself have wanted to just give up and act like their is nothing wrong with certain behaviors, but I have not which is certainly hard for many considering that we "are" homophobes, bigots, anti-equals, etc. People lose their jobs, children get fed the homosexuality propaganda, etc. If we just gave up, life would be easier. But I am not looking for easy, I am looking to show that I believe that "so-so" is wrong for Christian reasons and therefore I will not support it, even if my life might be miserable.
Haha, I have read/heard about NAMBLA multiple times. With the way things are going now, that group will eventually succeed with their goals to legalize their desires. It might take years or decades, but once we start rolling on this path, it will hit all other goals unless the ball is gone. Only the speed is the question.
I even found places that supported zoophiles and conveniently the excuses/arguments they use for promoting their desires are almost identical to that which eventually legalized homosexuality. People can only really argue "consent", but I have seen some very interesting arguments that zoophiles have made to get around that, and if it gets out, it could be quite effective. I even wrote something about that. If I supported homosexuality, I would be already supporting bestiality, pedophilia, etc. They deserve happiness too, right? Or are we going to say to our neighbor "I do not believe you deserve happiness"?
I think I recognize who you refer too, I have read a testimony about a man who was raised by lesbians, grew up identifying as a bi-sexual, but then married a woman and suppressed his other sexual attractions. It was a sad story and it is even worse now that same-sex couples now can easily get their hands on children and be defined as parents. I think it will be a while before the world finally sees what happens when you re-define marriage and no longer allow for children to have both a mother and father.
Speaking of discrimination, I had read about statistics on homosexuals and depression/mental problems. The common claim is that "homosexuals are discriminated against so that is why they are so depressed", but then if you look at statistics in other places where homosexuality has been accepted for quite some time, the depressions/mental problems have not decreased. I do not recall where I had read that, it was just something I had come across on one of my searches.
Yep, children are regarded as trophies alright, as well as conveniences, parasites, life-suckers, and toys. People will likely do what they can to love them, but only when THEY choose to have kids. If the children came "unexpectedly"... despite the common knowledge that male/female sex naturally creates babies, then those unborn are now regarded as something un-human and un-worthy of life unless YOU want it. If we can treat the unborn this way, as things that we can toss or keep, it is no wonder that people have decided that it is not necessary for them to have both sexes for parents. Who knows where else this might go.
Hm? I am quite curious now about doctors/ovaries, that sounds like something I have not heard/read about before.
Same here... it would be so easy... but my life and body are sacred too.
Haha, love that quote.
