Woah slow down, I don’t HATE you that’s a pretty strong word. Although you had no ill intention, you must know that it is disrespectful to claim anyone else’s characters as your own. Even if I hadn’t known about it before someone contacted me, it would be unfair to the author and their work if I had confronted them and they already had content written down. Next time please try to think of others when you do these sort of things. I hope for the best.

Yes, You have to ask the creator permission before you do anything with their characters. A lot of people’s characters are really personal to them and misunderstandings can cause big problems.
