I use an intuos pro S/intuos pen&touch S (It depends where I am, like travelling I take the normal intuos, and at school and at home I work with my intuos pro)
and I switch between Paint Tool Sai and Photoshop CS!! But I really prefer SAI since its very nice with blending imo while I prefer PS for sorta rougher work/experimenting??
Like these 2 are done in PS

Pokemon and wolves also really helped akjabbg
and also ofc the motivation I got from my mom aahh
