I find that somewhat exciting; you never know what you will get. Although it is annoying to arm yourself with scarves and tiny jackets to walk outside and realize that it's 80 degrees.

Did you go to Lamar?

I'm sorry things went shitty for you But, hey it's good that you quit smoking. I'll quit someday....someday.

It's odd, because I've heard from people that Houston is a great place. I've never been, but I'm sure I'll still prefer Austin. Where do you work?

Haha, yeah, and watch me start again. I inherited my mom's fucked up metabolism -- we don't get addicted to anything. (My dad likes to tell about when they "quit" doing speed and she quit cold turkey in a day and he took months of rehab...)

Houston itself isn't bad, it's the people in it. 90% of the population isn't from there, so the driving isn't like anywhere else -- race legend AJ Foyt once said he felt safer on the race track than on the highway in Houston, and I have to second that. And another thing is that Houston is full of paper mills, industrial processing plants, and oil refineries -- it's full of smog. Though if you get far enough away from downtown (or the coast) the trees kind of make up for it.

I work at the Comfort Suites in Addison as a night auditor from 10pm to 6am. It sucks cause I'm the only person in there at night so I have to deal with the customers acting like three-year-olds and the owner of this place is like real oldschool Indian so he has all these expectations about everything...he decided to take the front desk chairs away the other day because "sitting has made (us) lazy."

Six Flags..........but I pretty much stopped showing up. I don't want to work in a place where you have to wear a uniform. I'm a fashion slut

Haha, that's like everywhere...try to imagine this...for my job I have to wear longsleeved, button up, collared white dress shirts with a tie and a little black hotel-worker vest, plus black dress pants...we're supposed to wear dress shoes, too, but since we stay behind the front desk none of us do.

At least they let me keep my hair though; it's like twice as long as last time you saw it. I just have to pull it back and keep it "neat." But it also pays $7.50/hr, sooo...

I'd rather wear a white collared shirt, tie and vest than oversized men's khakis. Six Flag's uniform is insulting. I want to work at a coffee shop.

Maybe it's just the people I know.

Set your clock an hour early...our time has officially gone back. Or is it an hour later? I don't even know anymore...

Hehe...is it the one in the Barnes and Noble? One of said assholes works in that one I think...

And it's an hour back. I set my cell phone to go off at 4am when I have to run the night audit, it went off and I started to run it and I noticed the PC clock is at 3am...but all the other clocks (wall clock, my cell phone, hotel switchboard phone, etc) all say 4am...it's messin' with my sense of time, man! >_<

You best learn to make one hell of a chai tea latte.

Besides, I might quit or get fired from my job...my boss is pissing me off royally. Grr.

Chai Tea is actually my favourite...with a hint of hazelnut.

I hope you find a new job soon. Unemployment sounds like a great idea till you have it.

I hate chai tea by itself, but the latte thing that Starsucks has is actually pretty damn addictive...

Get this. The owner took away the chairs at the front desk, right? He didn't like that we actually sat or something, it was stupid. I got here yesterday and the chairs were back, so I asked my coworker Stephanie what the deal was and she said that he'd let us have them back. Now today I get here and they're locked up in the back again. wtf, mate?

I completely understand. I really do. My old boss was very close to suffering from senile dementia. Kind of sad, actually.
