For whatever website that you're submitting to, you have to check the formats that they accept. I forget what youtube takes since I haven't uploaded a video on there in a while, but most or all websites where you submit images (like deviant art and blogging websites) take jpegs which I think is the best default format for images anyways. So just save your original photoshop image in its .psd format to keep the layers and such and save a copy (you usually don't have to rename it if its in another format) in .jpg. So same with youtube, save a copy in the video format of your editing program and save it in a more compressed format fit for youtube.
