Thank you! Yes, I do! It's a lot of trial-and-error and learning from my years of work. Sometimes checking out how a plush you own is made can help you understand what 2D shapes can make what 3D shapes. Buying other people's plush patterns or looking at free ones helps. Once you have an idea of how it will work in fabric, you draft up a pattern on paper and test sew/stuff it, then adjust from there. Some people sculpt in 3D and derive shapes from that, but I've never tried it myself.

oh thank you!! ill definitely try to draw inspiration from things around me, 
i absolutely love bringing characters to life and i tend to usually use more
simple shapes for plushes, but i do want to experiment and improve!

I checked out your gallery a little and wow, your bagbean pattern is great! Honestly it looks like you get some of the hardest stuff already just fine! :0

For me, I always struggle making big round things, which is why I'm so pleased with my latest plush. The small innovations come over time but yeah, I love what you've done so far!

my heads look oval or too squished idk :'D
this is probably the one  im most proud of rn,

bring out the thighs a bit more a guess? make a body more
