HAHA! Thanks alot mate,but my work isnt really that great yet but its getting there.As for your 2 questions...

1.(Extremely short version)First I do skecth which can be as long 10 to 30 mins,after I decided on what I want I then scan in the image then I take it in to the painting program called Sai where add more detail and make corrections.After I've done all of that I then take the pic in to Illustrator & reduce the opacetiy down 15 and then I use my custom brushes I made & use the brush tool to add the inks on multiple layers max 5,once Im happy with the end results and depending on my mood I would then take the inked product to photoshop to colour.

Is there an option in Illustrator that I can the make a line from thick to thin like in the link you gave?
