I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but if it isn't yours, you shouldn't say it is. I understand she's 11, now. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. I'm not flaming her in any way and I don't mean to ruffle feathers, and I am extremely glad that you are teaching her the way things should be.
I would like to personally welcome her to DeviantArt on behalf of other artists on here, and not the ones being immature and tearing into your sister. Everyone makes mistakes, and I completely understand that and I wish her the best of luck on her actual original works.

alright, thanks man. i will have to take a look around. is yours just a pen tablet, or a pen and touch?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
OdieBFMV In reply to sasquatchbrett [2010-06-26 03:24:15 +0000 UTC]
just pen I think, cuz it doesn't register touch, with like, the physical hand, IDK what ur talking about there If you mean it's pressure sensitive, yeah it is. Wacom Bamboo, buuuuddy, haha (can't believe Paulie Shore is 42...)

yeah theres a wacom model called the pen & touch, it registers both the pen and hand gestures to do stuff. i knew he was getting up there, but i didnt think he was 42 yet.

I lack a fair amount of patience too, it's all just how good you want the end result to be.

yeah, i wanted to do some naruto and avatar fanart on them, or a kraken, that would be cool. but i dont know the basics of doing that stuff yet, so i would fuck em up big time..lol. i'll just design something on the comp and make an iron on of it. can you do that with a shoe? or would it be too hot?

OdieBFMV In reply to sasquatchbrett [2010-06-26 04:33:33 +0000 UTC]
I'd be more worried about the lack of the shoe being flat, which will be given a crease or two. It'd be better to go by hand. Acryillic works, but Fabric Paint is better if use markers, especially as a base. Without markers, you'll still want a fabric paint base, cuz it's more even and smooth

well i have acrylic and i have some bic mark-it markers. but i have no fabric paint.hmmm. well i rarely wear them anyways, so i should be ok with what i have then right?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
OdieBFMV In reply to sasquatchbrett [2010-06-26 04:45:18 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, but the acryllic will be lumpy and Bics aren't bad, but yellow, magenta, and black bleeds when wet, so you;re gonna needwaterprrof spray. well, that's for the marker directly on fabric, IDK about them being on paint... trial and error I suppose. maybe test a small corner of the tongue of the shoe

were do you get waterproof spray from? hardware store or something? the shoes are made out of the same stuff as jeans are right? if they are then i could practice on a ripped up pair of jeans then?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
OdieBFMV In reply to sasquatchbrett [2010-06-26 04:50:04 +0000 UTC]
Canvas and denim are very different, haha. There's waterproof spray in the shoe section of Wal*Mart, with the shoe shine and cleaning junk. Kiwi Camping Water Repellent works great, but u have to make sure u don't apply too much cuz it'll hyper bleed Bic markers.

OdieBFMV In reply to pipnfaye [2010-06-21 03:00:54 +0000 UTC]
If you are a US Resident, I could probably wing about 45 dollars with shipping, supplies, and labor. The shoes I use have differed slightly, but are still 10 dollars at Wal*Mart, durable and very comfortable. My base charge is 25 dollars for the supplies and labor, it's the shoe's price that raises the price, and shipping costs. If you wanted to send in a pair of shoes, we could do it that, but you'd have to pay the shipping to me and back to yourself (Not recommended). For the Wal*Mart brand kicks, I charge 35 (you can see how that price corrolates), and I think shipping is between 5 and 15 dollars with the USPS FlatRate Boxes, but I'm not entirely se on that. Sorry this is kind of winded, I just want to make sure you have an idea of what's going down, haha.
