I'm not sure if you used a tablet or a pen for the drawing but i'll give you advice on both just in case~
If you used a tablet, try making the lines a little bit smoother by using the 'Stabilizer' option on SAI. It's at the top of the canvas next to the rotate buttons~ The higher the number the longer it takes for the line to catch up with your mouse. That way it makes it easier for you to control where the line goes and it keeps it smooth~
If you're using a mouth, try using the 'Linework' layer. It gives you more tools to draw lineart~ You can draw a line and bend and curve it however you'd like, so it's a lot easier for mouse only users~
Now, for the colors. Try using a blue color for the highlights at the bottom that's a little less neon. Same goes for the dark blue at the top ^_^
This next advice is coming from 4 years after I drew that tutorial.. there should be a darker spot in the middle (close to black) to give the eyes more dimension~ 
All in all though, good job
OH one more advice~ There are a lot more tutorials on here that are so much better than my old one, so I highly recommend you go check those out instead~ Yuumei has a really great one~

I don't have a tablet Pen, I know it's not a download. You got to download it or something. I used a pencil on Paint Tool SAI and used a brush or air brush for coloring. I started with the Anime eye first because I wanted to start off with something easier. I wanted to draw a human and make it into digital art instead of Anime. I thought Anime drawing would help me to succeed in drawing and painting human but I guess not. It's Complicated.

A tablet is a device that you plug in to your computer.. it's like drawing on paper and it copies it on the screen~ 
It's true that starting off anime is easier because it's cartoony.. however speaking from experience, try starting off learning realism. It's easier that way because once you're used to drawing anime, realism is SOOOO much harder. It might seem harder at first but in the long run it's so much more worth it to start off with realism*thumbs up*

[link] if you look through there and look at the photos of me, she looks like me, with lighter shade of hair and golden eyes. She wears a long white dress and she always wears gold jewlry she has dark eyeliner and eye shadow and redish lips and shes very thin
