Hakama patterns from what I understand ( my commissioner always asking for my input because I didn't have time to make the cosplay ). I do believe you are going to have to make your own modify the hakama pattern if you are using one to make it shorter since Hakama traditionally don't come that short.

Well I talked to my commissioner, he said Hakama patterns are hard to work with so they made their own. He said to use a cotton blend which is what I was going to suggest.

i cant do cosplay so i kinda admire people who have the guts to do it...
