Thank you!  I'm still not recovered, but I knew this would be a short hike or from the car opportunity - I've done Fox Island several times! I have pushed my motivation button by getting yet another camera, I am really loving this new Sony with 50x mag!  Not totally sold on the unit, but it's mine now...advantages - light, long zoom, needs tri/mono pod!  The only feature I'm not really loving is the imaging plate, I think I prefer receptors over the panel - but that may just be a prejudgment on my part.

I'm glad you enjoyed the new series, there's more birds, just haven't processed them yet

Looking forward to seeing more as you ease back into taking photos... My lighter Fuji has also been a big help to me in at least getting out there... and my 30X zoom is helpful on that level too... but yeah there are trade offs... not as easy to catch the flight shots as with the Nikon and a large heavy fast lens...
