I have an idea...
I think that nice camera you have would be good for taking some candid shots of the local folk musicians performing in your area. It is my understanding, from the words of a Native Andean fellow who makes fine Charangos in El Alto, Departmento de La Paz in Bolivia, the illustrious Pedro Quispe Torrez, that his legendary instruments are very popular in Chile. Most of the ones he makes end up there, though you can find them all over the world.
I have been searching for real folk music from your country on YouTube. I made a folder for it. I have not found that many songs yet, but the search continues. I like what I am hearing so far. To be honest, I like the music of every single country in South America, because I do not see the boundaries of the many great countries. I simply see a huge and beautiful land filled with very talented and diverse people whom I love as family. The music made there is my favourite listening material, indeed.

Many thanks for the listing. I went out to YouTube and did searches, finding some nice music to add to the Chile folder on my channel page. I was already familiar with Los Kjarkas and Inti Illlimani, having some of their Bolivian date clips already faved. I really enjoyed sol y Iluvia. They absolutely kick ass. Victor Jara is very mellow and nice. I really like the traditional music. Definitely Andean! Thanks for the links, my friend. Good stuff! My Chile playlist on YouTube grew as a result...
