# About me
Just a kid who grew up being told she sucked at art, but enjoyed it anyway.Fair warning: Commenting is a privilege, not a right. If it is abused, the privilege will be revoked. Do not push me.
I hope art can help us have difficult discussions about things we can't talk about in our normal lives. There is so much that we all need to deal with, but we all have different problems! So we we can learn from each other! I grew up in a depressed rural town, in a depressed rural county, in a state too corrupt to care. I have tried to commit suicide twice, before I learned enough about religion to be comfortable embracing it. I grew up keenly aware of the un-sustainability of the global neoliberal system. Now look, it is coming down around our ears. Shed tears for the past if you must, but then leave it in the past. This is a place for artwork, which is all about imagination. Let us use our imaginations to construct the future: taking inspiration from the past, but always remembering that it can never truly be recreated.

awwww! that's pretty shitty.
Glad to hear you are all safe though.
By "little master" you mean the son of your master? What do you think of him?
Does sex mean anything to you? or is it just a set of dance-steps? No need to answer if you don't know how or that's too personal. sharing information with me is always your choice I just have no reference point for what sex is like for someone who doesn't feel desire the way I do, so I wonder.
What do people where you are think of our soon to be President eh? As you have probably guessed by now, I think he's an asshole. But, I'm in the minority opinion here
Oh, and feel free to ask me questions too. I'm a curious person, so I do have a tendency to just keep asking questions. My scientific training doesn't help either... I don't want you to feel interrogated though
Love,
Your friend Sophie.

oh God! that is just fucked up on so many levels I can't even wrap my mind around it. good to know though.
Interesting... I'm guessing your master doesn't know this? or maybe he really just doesn't care that much. Arranged marriage is a thing where you are isn't it?
Well, good to know I'm not the only one who thinks Trump is dangerous. Should be interesting to see what happens when he finally comes to Washington, DC though. I'm not busy at the moment, but I have a feeling I soon will be. 93% of the people in the capital city of America voted against Trump. Most of them weren't all that keen on Clinton, his rival: but that just means they are open to courting by someone else. Many of them are very loyal to Obama, who is going to still be living in the city. All the organizations which I've been futilely attempting to get a job with for the past year, are about to start going into overdrive. So, I'm guessing I might get hired soon. Hopefully I will have a job by the end of this year, but nothing yet.
No, I'm not married yet, also no kids. I do think I want to get married at some point, and adopt children. I feel little desire to increase the population of the already overpopulated world: but I would love to provide a good home for a kid who needs it. I wouldn't want to have a child if I wasn't married though, and sure that I would remain married. I saw too many examples of what divorce does to kids when I was growing up. It is not pretty. So, since I want to adopt, I feel no particular hurry. If I wanted to get pregnant I would be panicking atm, seeing as I'm 24.
I recently got out of a long term sexual relationship, so I'm not really looking at the moment. And being in job limbo as well also means this is not really a good time for starting a relationship. But there is a guy who I know likes me, so that's kind of in the back of my head.
Alright! English lesson time:
In a sentence you need a main verb. Sentence #1 of your comment lacks one. To me it's intelligible but I'm very used to languages that don't require you to actually write the verb "to be". English grammar technically requires it, always. The sentence should read: "He is my master's son number 5, and he got (the event happened in the past) me for a present when he was 16 because his dad wanted (again, the wanting is in the past) him to have (infinitive form!) a servant (articles!) that looks like a girl so he will not go to prostitutes (prepositions!) and get diseases or make babies (when one talks about things in general, one uses the plural form) but* he will have me for a bed boy until he gets married."
The appropriate form is "married", it's a participle. "gets" is acting as the helping verb here. Why a person "gets" marriage (as if it were a disease or something) I have no idea. That sentence should also be like three sentences, but I'm assuming you don't need to write essays or anything so I won't make a big deal about that. Although I'm putting in commas and stuff, I'm not going to talk much about those either. Really only matters for writing.
*I think you really meant "so" here. 'but' is used when you are contrasting things, 'so' is used to explain causality. The master doesn't want his son to go to prostitutes, so he gave the little master a bed boy.
One does not "get" desire, one feels it. Also, you are again missing your main verb. Also, I understand what "sex feel" means, but not many other people would. That sentence should read: "I still feel desire, but I am not gay and so I feel it for girls." Or you can repeat the word "desire" if you think the antecedent isn't clear. In this case it's very clear though.
The next sentence mainly just has spelling and word choice errors. The only grammar problem with it is that the verb "see" has no subject. And you are again missing the verb to be, but here it isn't as bad. It should be: "Yes I think he is an asshole because I see him make the same noises that bad people (people is already plural!) make here and* make them angry against other people and dangerous.
*you meant "that" not "and". The noises cause people to be angry against other people, these items have a relationship. "and" is used when you are simply listing items. "that" shows a cause-and-effect relationship.
One "has" a job in English. No idea why. I didn't make up this language, I just speak it
Again, you need the participial form of the verb "to marry"= married.
You do not mind any questions. It's like French, there's that pesky seemingly useless second part of the negation that you just have to stick in. "do...not"="ne...pas".
You mean to ask if I am busy with work. If you put "busy" in the same sentence with a noun, then you need a preposition between them. Same with any other similar state-of-being word. You could also have asked me "Are you busy?" Most people when asked this question would assume you were asking about their work.
I hope that makes at least some sense. and gah that's long!
Love, Sophie

huh, well I'm not surprised. Even the Chinese though? interesting. I guess they aren't really as against speaking English as they pretend to be. Then again, they probably just do that to us because they know Americans get bruised egos when they are forced to pull out their phrasebook (Well, not me, but some Americans).
What do they do when they inspect you? What things are they interested in? What you say makes it sound like they ask you direct questions. What do they want to know usually?
English lesson #2 (read at your leisure, I gave you a lot last time):
English really really seriously does require you to put in the verb "to be". Sorry, it just does. I know it's annoying, but just put it in (sometimes it can be as an "'s", that is ok). Your comment should read:
"English is very interesting for me and I think I learn many things (use "many" when you have a lot of individual things, "much" when you are dealing with fractions of a whole) so THANK YOU dear friend and yes it is important to learn because when men come to inspect us to buy servant even if they are German or American (US is the country, American is the nationality, because we just had to be special snowflakes or something ) or Chinese they always speak English!! Only Arabs that want to buy (infinitive! you need that pesky little particle!) harem agaboss (I love your wordsmithing ) speak Arabic!"
and it was my turn to ask questions, now it is your turn
Love, Sophie

hmmm...interesting. I guess I am a much better teacher than I thought I was. I have no official training, and it isn't my job, but I've always liked teaching.
"wordsmithing" means "to make new words by combining words".
It is true While not ever marrying is rare, very few married couples choose to have children. It is not uncommon for a woman to only marry once she has established herself in a career, which often means she is too old to have children. Yes, in the US and the EU gays can get married.
Very few people in the West are rich enough to have servants, and most prefer to hire female servants to look after the house, wife and kids. The home is viewed as "girl stuff", so it would be weird to most people here to hire a male servant for the home. The kind of lifestyle your masters have just isn't traditional here. We know it from movies and books, but it's very strange to us.
haha! I wish I had enough money to buy you out, but I definitely don't and probably never will. Nor do I know anyone with that kind of money, sorry. Most of my friends are broke college grads just like me.
you've been personal with me, so I'll return the favor. When I want to have sex with a man, my body produces a natural lubricant so I don't feel any pain. On the contrary, it feels very very good. Ideally, a woman feels orgasm just as a man does during sex. If I don't want to have sex with him, then my body doesn't do it's bit: so the experience can be a little painful. If, as in your case, you can't prevent unwanted sex there are ways to mitigate the pain. The key is for you to be relaxed. Do you know beforehand that he wants sex? If he does let you know beforehand, you can do some planning. From what you said, it sounds like your master views his son as prone to crude behavior. This can be used to your benefit . Dress up pretty, burn some incense, put some soft music on, in your cutest voice ask if he'd like a massage first. If he challenges you, tell him he is a great man, and this is what should be done for great men (he's exploiting you, so exploiting his vanity is fair play ) What you're really doing though is teaching him to appreciate refinement. His father will thank you now, and his wife will thank you later. What it does for you though, is this: your mind is ready and your body is relaxed. You aren't scared, because you have planned. This should help with the pain. If he's very spontaneous though, the best you can do is meditate on something relaxing and comforting. Not as futile as it sounds, this is what I do at the dentist because I can't take the opiate medicines they normally use Because your mind is on something else, your body will automatically act to dull the pain. If you do this, do make sure to go over yourself carefully in the bath afterwards. Honey is useful for healing any small cuts or irritation in embarrassing places, heat it to the temperature of a good bath before putting it inside your body.
I knew they spoke English because you told me that in your previous comment!
I kinda figured nothing had really changed in that regard either. Just like a horse or a cow... You dear, are priceless I guess the fact that he's asking a high price suggests you've made an impression on him though. I pray you do find a better situation soon. You have so many talents, you should be employed by someone who appreciates them.
aww, so sorry. good thing you have a friend with you though
Love, Sophie

haha well, you're allowed to tell your friends I don't mind. It's not as if what I told you is some kind of big secret.
well, I'm not surprised his father is disgruntled with him, then. Using sex to address his bad moods is a really bad habit for him to get into. That is literally the #1 reason why people here get divorced! so yeah, if you think there's anything you can do about it, go for it. If not, well, you can't really be held responsible for his behavior.
But the most important thing is for you to not hurt: so do whatever you need to do to relax. pray, sing your favorite song in your head, whatever.
arrrrgh! I'm jealous of your wardrobe and perfume now... I wish I had more pretty things like that
do you like playing music? I really like it, though I'm not all that good. I play the violin.

Yeah, it just get repetitive trying to debate with others. I use to be able to debate with others like it was nothing. Now I've kind of lost that feeling of debating. I'm still willing to debate but I'm not as good at it as I was in the pat. I don't believe that the US is a rape culture, nothing will change that. You believe that the US is one, nothing will change that. It's just gotten to the point of beating a dead horse. Now I'm willing to debate on why black lives matter can be considered an evil group. Such as the recent event that happened in Chicago when a group of four black guys kidnapped a disabled kid and live streamed it simply because he supported Trump. That though is for a different time and place depending on what happens in the times to come. I'm sort of glad that we came to this agreement of peace for this time being. Have a marvelous day, best wishes.

It is not a matter of belief. It was clear to me that you didn't know what the phrase "rape culture" meant. I defined for you what a rape culture is. You use your own judgement to determine whether it exists where you live. I can tell you that rape culture does exist in some parts of America. Sorry if it sounded like I was saying I thought it happened in every part of the country: in all likelihood that is not true, because this country is a patchwork of cultures . Not every part of the country has this problem, and not all media has it either. Nor does any part of America have this problem to nearly the extent that some other cultures have it or have had it. You'll note, the original post was explicitly talking about a medium that came from Japan. They have a rape culture problem far worse than anything seen in the US. It was a bit late when I was writing that post, and I deleted and revised so many times I think I may have said something that sounded a bit stupid
If you're expecting me to be shocked by the event you describe, you're going to be disappointed. You're talking to someone who reads ancient historians for shits and giggles. There is nothing a human can do that is so depraved that I haven't heard it before. You are sure that this event was connected to BLM though? That is an actual organization, it doesn't just mean "whatever black people do" nor "anything anti-Trump". I don't like Trump, but I'm hardly going to condone kidnapping someone because of their politics. My support for BLM is lukewarm at best, mainly because I am 90% sure they aren't going to last very long. At it's best, BLM is a half-organized half-coherent movement driven by anger with no real goal. I don't expect it to stand up to any real resistance. Most likely we'll start seeing it plagued by the same infighting that Anonymous is having right now. There are plenty of other organizations with more potential to actually make change in the world, I tend to put my support behind them.
If you're expecting me to have much sympathy for Trump supporters though it isn't going to happen. Welcome to how the other half lives. I have been taking precautions against exactly what happened to that kid for many years now. Still I know it is going to happen sooner or later, that's just stats. I am neither naive enough to think that human cruelty can be eradicated, or cowardly enough to be frightened by it. I simply believe it should be discouraged and contained whenever possible.

Whenever I hear someone mention "Rape Culture," what others such as me will see you as one of those SJWs who say "America is a full on rape culture" which it isn't. We punish rapists, and even if there is lack of evidence, their life is ruined because people will still attack and harass them about it. Some Middle Eastern countries are a true example of rape culture. Especially in really Muslim governed countries.
The idea of the four guys being apart of BLM is a big possibility. I was also told the sent the video to the kids parents. I'm sure BLM will be taken down sooner or later since its been marked as a terrorist group since July 2016. I've seen some of the horrible shit in history and I usually make jokes about it (I know, I'm going hell ). The reason though I kind of see this event as important is because you have these half-brained bimbo's saying "Black people can't be racist!" Yet this group of black guys committed a big hate crime. I've already seen one guy who hesitated to call their doing as evil and tried to shift the blame on parenting (The guys were who did it are adults, not teenagers). Now I wait to see the overly radical people who're going to try to justify their actions or something similar.

well, no half-brained bimbos here . SJW? yes. That is not a dirty word, and I refuse to let it become one. If what you hear when someone says "rape culture" is hysteria, then you are showing ignorance. It is a serious thing, and it is worth talking about. Do some people let their emotions run away with them? yes, that is to be expected. Rape is something traumatic: often for everyone involved. Does society punish rapists? yes, of course it does. Because rape is a crime against society, not against a single person. it is a violation of the trust that people require in order to live together in communities. The problem is that in our rush towards modernity we also abandoned the tools which communities once used to reintegrate rapists and rebuild the communal trust. Rapists rarely get life in prison for their crime, and because they are usually rejected with no chance at reconciliation by their communities they become serial offenders. That is not to say that rape culture doesn't exist. Look at movies, tv shows, books and video games: in how many of them does the hero commit rape? quite a few. Including such big-names as James Bond. Obviously, you can't have the hero be punished even for the crime of rape. But a true hero does not ever feel the need to commit rape, because a true hero has no need to prove his dominance. That is not however the message that our culture sends to young men and women, nor will you find very many scholars of literature saying that, that is a conclusion I have come to based on my voracious reading of literature. Yes, we need to address the treatment of rapists: trying to make rape okay, is not the answer and it won't work. Rape is not okay. Crime does not define a person.
Again, I'm not surprised, I just didn't know much about the situation. When emotions run this high and are uncontrolled like this, it is only a matter of time before hate crimes happen. There are things we could do as a society, there are things our government could be doing: like say, actually addressing the social problems that lead to this. But here in 'Murica, we apparently prefer to just fight about stupid shit instead.
haha! you think being marked as a terrorist group gets you taken down on the double? oh my friend. You do realize that Greenpeace was also marked as a terrorist group by the FBI until 2012 right? They're still around. For all that governments talk about "getting tough on terror" they never do it. We're working with al-Nusra to bring down ISIS. Wake up and smell the coffee, the "war on terror" is just the Cold War 2.0. It has nothing to do with actually taking down terrorists.
I said I don't expect BLM to last very long because it is a very badly organized group facing enormous pressure from a variety of much better organized institutions: the Heritage Foundation, the KKK, the FBI etc. When you have that situation, the badly organized group will tend to fall apart and scatter.
Thankfully, in this particular case I think most people are too distracted by the inauguration and Russian hackers. I'm more interested in the near-famine conditions happening in Yemen. Don't look for anyone to be justifying the actions of a bunch of hooligans
