# About me
My name is Ireneusz (Eric) Sosnowski. I was born and raised in Poland. Art has always been my passion and a portal by which I express my creativity. I began sculpting and painting as a young boy. After finishing formal training I worked at places like drama theater (set designer), puppet theater (puppet creator and set designer) and also produced traditional folk dolls to be sold at art stores....In the late eighties, due to the political climate in my home country I made the decision to immigrate to Canada. I began my journey by going to Italy where I was employed by an Italian landowner who commissioned me to create sculptures and reproductions of large scale paintings by artists such as Monet, Degas, Renoir, van Gogh and Botticelli.
I came to Canada in the early nineties and started from scratch, often working outside my chosen field in order to support my family. That being said, my love of art has never dissipated. I have continued to create by paining (oil, acrylic), sculpting, making silver jewelry and even art inspired furniture.
As I look back at my career, I believe my creations have reflected my own journey of self-discovery. I also believe we all have a gift and mine has always been to express feelings, beliefs and concepts through art.
I am a spiritual man and a Reiki practitioner. My latest paintings reflect concepts of the Tarot; I believe they have healing properties as they reflect the loving energy of the universe. I am merely a vessel
