Sorry. I'm going through a bit of a rough patch. Plus, I'm really working on revising my novel. I should have a readable version soon. Also, I wrote a short story. I sent it off to Glimmer Train. Ugh, I'm totally not cut out for the work force. Gotta finish my book and be a full-time novelist. This year is going to be incredible though. Been poetically dry for a while since I've been focusing so much on the novel, but I'm gonna start cranking out some amazing shit again soon.

i know what you mean about the work force. it's very difficult to shift in and out of robotic mode. impossible not to be one at work. impossible to be creative when you are. you have to be like an actor popping in and out of personalities with ease. i'm looking forward to your book. and your poems. whatever you spit out.

It's pretty ridiculous right now. I'm working in Texas, and I'll get back at the end of the month. Then I'm going west to Cali for christmas and in January I'm going to Hawaii. I have a girlfriend now: she lives in the springs, but she's from hawaii and she's amazing. She's extremely well read and artistic. We've only been dating since early october but I really like her. The novel is progressing well. So yeah, things are going pretty well. Have you read my recent poems?

I'm in Texas working. I'll be back at the end of November, and then I am not going anywhere near Texas for a while. I'm gonna be in Cali for the holidays, then Hawaii in January, then back to the Springs. Prolly later next year I'm going to move to either the Bay area or LA. In the meantime I'm still writing my novel. It's going well.

I'm looking forward to it. I thought about you yesterday as I was driving the 74 into San Juan. I was thinking about taking pictures there as we were driving west. Then we saw everything stop in the oncoming lane. A motorcycle had just gone down under the wheels of an SUV. There was no cell signal. It was at least ten minutes before ambulances came; not the safest road. Put me in a funk. Wanted to tell you.
