some of the basics I try to do when doin inks is just take your time and make sure you don't smudge anything. I've screwed up so many times doing that. find ways you can make your pen do light scratch marks to dark thick lines well enough to do some really detailed work. just play around with what you know so far and improve on smaller areas like shading just to start you off, then work your way up, it'll take some time but a lil effort can go a long way.
