Hi there! My name is Celcia and I am an artist, seamstress, fashion designer, costume designer, and (very amateur) photographer. I am obsessed with fairy tales so my works reflect such things. I am trying to major in fashion design to become a fashion designer. :) My favorite colors are pink, white, and lavender. My favorite type of clothing is of the elegant variety. I love the sea, fish, unicorns, rainbows, and cake. I don't like rude people, sharks, spiders, things that taste bad, and excessive swearing. I'm generally a nice person and easy to get along with. I don't bite. :D

I'm taking a few artistic liberties with it since the original design in the anime (Queen Serenity from Sailor Moon) doesn't translate too realistically into real life since it's plain. I'm going to shoot for an early January date just to motivate myself.

Taking liberties with designs is a good idea. It is a way to take a design and give it your own personal signature.

Do you have any design sketches of how you want it to look when it is complete?

And it makes things even more fun to craft. :3

I don't have anything sketched up (my tablet is wonderfully flakey) but I plan on adding some butterfly and floral applique to the "fishtail" part of the mermaid gown, embroidering the front bow, and sewing some Swarovski crystals onto it. I'm going for a "moon fairy" look since that's what she reminded me of when I first saw her in the anime.

Thank you very much! :) (Smile) Rinoa's outfit is a bit tricky. Finding the right fabric is a pretty annoying task but worth it in the end. My first Rinoa duster and sleeves were bought from someone but eventually I found a sweater-knit material for it. Hand knitting it is another option, but it's quite time consuming. ; I wish you the best!
