I've gotten a bit more cynical, and a lot less ass-kiss-y. I used to soften things I said to people, especially my friends, but that doesn't help anyone. So if I talk to you on here, and you do something retarded, I will tell you.

I don't see how age makes a difference in what we speak about, other than giving me an idea of what your schooling situation might be like/general things that come up in society at certain ages for a majority of people. Oh thank goodness. I've met so many people who've been wonderful to me, and as soon as they find out my age they disappear. It's kind of annoying because I think to myself; if you liked me before, what should my age matter? Most of my friends are at least a year or two older than me, Because honestly, kids my age are just way too immature about the stupidest things. Granted, I can be very childish, but that's just my personality. When it comes down to be serious, I pride myself on my maturity ^^
I give that credit to my sister. She's nine years older than me, so she's kind of the reason I act the way I do. Hee hee -w-

That's cool! I was raised as an imaginative little kid, so I was curious about a lot of things. I always sought to learn more. I love learning, I just don't like classes. So I tend to not assume someone is going to be immature because of age. I tend to assume they simply might not have as much life experience as I do. Which is usually true because I've simply been around longer. I'm the elder sibling, but I encourage my brother to be immature and mature at the same time. I really like social politics, and I'm a queer feminist, so I try to educate him while also feeding his love for trivial things. It's a nice balance.

Goodness, that's how I am! I love learning new things, I'll just randomly look up things simply because I want to know. But stick me in a stuffy old classroom and I want to shoot myself! It's good how you are with your brother. It's how my sister is with me. Had she not been that way when I was younger, I probably would have turned out as one of those people I love to hate >n<

Exactly! For example: I have a math brain and an English/Vocabulary brain. Most eastern coast schools in the US (or at least ones around my part of it) focus on ACT teachings, and therefor couldn't really care less about vocabulary or language, and they refuse to believe that I am not good at Science because "Math and Science go together". So I'm in a regular Algebra 2 class which is too easy for me, an honors Biology class which is too hard, and NO English because "I have a math brain" and they want to round out my learning style... THIS IS NOT WORKING!

The school system for me was better. We had general education requirements and a certain amount of electives we could take. It was really nice because we could select a lot of classes and had a lot of options. Vocabulary was always important at my school, though. I'm sorry to hear your situation is so unfair!

It is pretty sucky. Especially now that I've moved to a school that focuses even less on that. Add to that the fact that I can hardy stand my classmates here because I've moved to a county where you're cool if you use dip and hate anyone who isn't American... blaaaaaaaaaah!
