that's awesome. i will be in plainfield tomorrow afternoon to have the annual birthday parties for me and like 3 other relatives. if you're in the neighborhood, you're welcome to stop by at 11605 s derby lane.
i had some job interviews for a large medical software/database company based in chicago. the interviews went well, but i have to wait 1 or 2 more weeks before they get back to me. i am being considered for a lowly phone customer support job and a traveling job visiting hospitals to train people and provide customer support (except i have to wear a suit). i hope i get the latter job. it pays more and i'd have more freedom.
what have you been up to lately?

I suppose you're right. Today, I'm going to send one of my DA friends a late Christmas package full of silly toys and gadgets, haha.
What type of digital drawing tablet do you use and/or recommend? I was going to send her my sister's tablet that has never been opened or used. My sis is sort of a packrat and she wouldn't let me have it, haha!
I just discovered some interesting facts about Holland and the Netherlands. I didn't really know they were the same place, doh! The meaning of the names is so interesting.

Also the ones who give electric shocks? xD I guess your friend will find them.. "stunning" 8'DDD
Err.. I have a Wacom, but I don't know exactly what type it is, since it's VERY old, probably around 8 years old already and they don't even sell it anymore xD But I hear a lot of people having a Wacom Intuos and if I remember clear mines an Intuos too, only an older version. So I'd recommend an Intuos, and I'd also recommend to take a medium-sized one! You have small tablets, some bigger tablet (drawing space about the size of an A4) and even bigger ones. I'd recommend the second/medium one, a small one can be irritating and a bigger one will take a lot of space (and money!) and I don't believe it's necesarrily. Also, if she might not even use it, I wouldn't buy one that's too expensive x'D Tablet around the prize of 80 - 120 euros (would be around the same in dollars I guess) can be fine too, just make sure it's a good brand :>
You didn't? xDDD Hahhaa oh well, I guess more people don't ;'D The Netherlands and Holland indeed are same country ~ Actually, the country itself is devided in several areas, and I live in South-Holland ;D As a kid you learn them all: North-Holland (Noord-Holland), South-Holland (Zuid-Holland), Zeeland, Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel, Flevoland, Limburg, North-Brabant (Noord-brabant), Gelderland and Utrecht (: And they allmost all have a different kind of nature and buildings and such

RalphCarag In reply to Tamorii [2011-12-28 15:05:48 +0000 UTC]
Yes, haha, you're funny.
Wacom's are the top-rated tablets. Yes, medium sized tablets are probably altogether the best size. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I don't think tablets have changed much since you first got yours. Like software, tablets may have more bells and whistles, but they're not much different.
Yes, I didn't know. I think the Netherlands is a fascinating place. When Americans think of Holland, the first things that come to mind are windmills, tulips and wooden shoes.
In all those regions, does everyone speak the same language or different dialects?
The Netherlands sounds fascinating to me. Wow, I was way off. For some reason, I always assumed the Netherlands was beside Sweden. I never looked at a map of your country before.

LOL thanks xD
Uhu ~ You're welcome (: Sorry for this late reply btw;; My inbox got filled with replies again
Yeah I guess so, they still work the same, I guess the biggest changes are the designs u__u
Haha yeah I hear that a lot They should visit the Netherlands, because it absolutely isn't like that It's a pretyy grey country, raining at least once a week, grass and some trees but mostly buildings, roads, and cars and cyclists everywhere. And no one wears wooden shoes xD And if you'd like to see tulips you'll have to go to a flower shop xD (though there do are tulips fields, just not nearby the cities) Though where I live we do have windwills (: Not many, I think 1 every 10 km2, but we do have some.. ;D
Different dialects, regions like Friesland and Limburg have changed some words and their pronouncing is different. They usually have a different "melody" in their words ;D
Besides Sweden? XD Hahaa wow, that's pretty far you know? ;'D We're besides Germany, France, England and Luxembourg, but not besides Sweden, that's Norway! >U<

I've been busy cleaning my room and giving away belongings, haha. There's still a big mess and I can't even sleep on my bed because there's hundreds of things on it, really.
Your country still sounds beautiful to me. I think the windmills, wooden shoes, and tulips were only in the old days?
To me, I'd find it strange to have different countries so close. Here, we only have 2 neighboring countries. One far north (Canada) and one far south (Mexico). In a way, our states are like little countries, but not really, haha. Personally, I think this country was subdivided into too many states, however some states are quite large and take up to 12 hours to drive from one end to the other.
Sorry, I'm not so good in geography, haha. Well, goes to show you how the school systems here are so bad. I'm curious, of course, here we had exams with a blank map and we had to label all of the US states. Did you have a similar exam with just the European countries?

Hey ~ Sorry for the superlate reply! :c My inbox, once again, got spammed xD This time a top of 94 feedbacks.. damn how am I supposed to keep up? xD
Yeah, there still are windwills but very few, and we do still have tullips, but not around the city. And absulotely no one walks on wooden shoes (':
Ah true, here, wherever you live you always live close to another country (at max of 4 hours driving). The States must be super big.. wow, what if you want to visit your family? D: My grandparents live 5 minutes and 30 mintues driving from my home..
Oh okay xD I've been learning where all countries in Europe and all the big/important countries in the world lay since I was.. 10? Ah yes we do, we too get a blank map, with number and you have to tell which country everyone number is. We also have to name all big rivers and mountains.. it's reeally tiring I hate those tests xD

Oh, I'm sorry I haven't logged on here for weeks. I've been lazy, haha. I don't think anyone missed me anyhow, haha.
Oh, well, there are areas in the US with the modern looking windmills. They are called windmill farms, and in some places you can see hundreds of them for miles and miles. Do you have windmill farms there?
You live nearby your family. My family mostly lives within an hour drive away, or 1 day drive at the most.
Haha, wow. Maybe someday knowing those rivers and mountains will come into good use if an airplane you're flying crashes and you have to walk back to civilization, haha! I watched a old movie (true story) of a girl who was the lone survivor of an airplane crash in the Amazon jungle. She managed to get rescued.

Woops, sorry for the late reply! D: My inbox kinda pilled up XD
Yes, we have a lot of them near the coast! And they're planning on building a windmill park in the sea a few kilometers in front of the coast :3
Woah that's quite a difference! But your country is a lot bigger too haha XD
Oh yes, a Dutch woman had the sort of same thing! During a walk somewhere in.. Spain I think? She fell of the hill down and ended by a river. She was walking alone so it took a while before they noticed she was gone. But the woman had stayed by the river knowing they would easily find her there, and lived off plants and water from the river. For 11 days or something! (she couldn't walk since she twisted her leg while falling)

It's okay. I have had the flu for a week. I don't think I can ever get used to the cold weather here in Chicago again since I lived in Los Angeles last year. I may move back to a warm city because the cold is too much for me. This has been my first winter here in 3 years.
Also, there are new methods of obtaining power from ocean waves (kind of like windmills in the water, but they look different).
Oh, but the one where the little girl in the Amazon was much worse because there were many wild creatures and bugs, and they were biting her and laying eggs in her skin, gross. Either way, I'm sure life for them was miserable until they were rescued. I kind of feel miserable myself being sick.

Baby spiders coming out of a wound, wow! That sounds cool but gross, hehe!
I'm okay now. I am staying in California for some time with my friends. I plan on visiting very often. My friend's girlfriend is trying to find me work at the fashion district doing digital artwork. They like me around because I'm silly.

Yes, I think you'd be an awesome fashion designer. That's what I originally wanted to do. My sister studied fashion design, then web design, now education. Now she is going to be an art teacher.
In my opinion, you're one of the most talented artists whose artwork I've seen here on DA.

Haha really? ;w; Thank you very much, but actually I don't think so, at all. There are at least 1000 artists here on dA, in the Manga/Anime genre onlies, whose art is way better than mine

Well, maybe I will get into 3d graphics/animation again.
My; sis kept changing her majors.
I wrote you a note last week about a Danish town I discovered 2 hours away. I can't wait to return and really explore it.
Well, I think your artwork is awesome. And okay, I guess over the months I've seen improvement, but still it's great compared to most others. I see you have a great passion for art. I can't wait to see what you will create in the future.

;w; Thank you >U< I sure do have passion for it haha. I always find myself with such a happy feeling, only knowing that I'll have time to draw that day haha <3 Guess it's really in my veins ;w;

Sorry about the delayed reply. I've been traveling the past week.
The name of the Danish town in Cali is called Solvang. [link]
I can't wait to visit that town again. I only drove through there late at night, and most of the shops were closed, so I didn't get to explore.
Yes, you should do whatever makes you happy, and since you're so great at it, that's even more reason to do so!
