I did some research...some snooping...some waiting...and the power to end carrot as we know it may soon be mine.
I realized..."The creator of carrot, with thousands of pages, stopped posting on all of the keenspot boards after the first page...his email doesn't work...his AIM doesn't work...and he doesn't use his Keenspot account. If I could contact him...somehow...I could figure out a way to get him to hand over his account, and all I do is either rule carrot with an iron fist...
Or delete it altogether, devestating...dozens."
Though I figured my conspirings were futile; even so, I checked his profile once more. He had but 42 posts, and his last was on February 23...2004
I started browsing through all his posts. Found out he posted on the RPG world board a few times before he vanished more than a year ago. Found a few posts, and made a small discovery...he went to Gaia. At least, back then he did.
So...I thanked Zeus that I still had a test account I made on Gaia a very long time ago. I logged in, and started searching. Wow, Gaia is packed and moves a million miles a minute. I decided to go for the gold, and searched his email. None found. Fuck, I thought. Here's the end. Wow. I was sad. I went for it anyway and did a user search for "gin*" and got exactly what I expected...
300+ users with "gin" at the start of their name.
Biggest. Setback. Ever. I was distraught and sad. Sobbing into my keyboard. Then...abandoning all reason, I decided to go ahead and...search them. All. The first one, named simply "gin," I clicked on, and examined. It was then I realized that there was know way I'd know if it was Gin if he wasn't using the same email.
When I came upon what he put for his location..."Smiteville." I grinned. I shuddered with joy and I CRIED TEARS OF MANIACAL HAPPINESS! For this was the same location Gin, of carrot, had used in his profile. I had won. I had found Gin. However this was not the end.
I checked through his recent posts...and his last post on Gaia was a few days ago. He is an ACTIVE POSTER ON GAIA. I sent him in a PM, and within a week I will be the only "Carroteer" to talk to Gin since the first page of carrot. My god. This was the biggest success ever.
And so here I am now. Waiting for a response.
ANOTHER DISCOVERY!
I noticed in one of his Gaia blog entries he mentioned he had a DeviantArt. Turns out it's Gin-Kitsune. He's a boss fucking artist.
But he lists his CURRENT. AIM. In his DA profile.
Now he's on my list and I wait for him to sign on.

Anyway, I had somewhat of a second, lesser lead to go on incase Gaia failed, though I can't REALLY see it being any more help than just his Keenspot profile.
One of his posts, "hey, this thread is becoming the Keenspot equivalent of the 'Random' threads at TWC. Hooray for randomness!"
I'm going to stop snooping before I accidentally find out where Gin lives.
