# About me
I'm a mildly gifted artist who enjoys sketching and drawing as well as arts and crafts in my free time. Artwork is a skill I've neglected for a while, but this forum is challenging me to reach a little deeper and be devious!# Comments

Hey, I'm well for the most part, thanks for asking. I'm a little lonely lately, but that probably just means I should start working on my next deviation, haha. How are you?

I'm great, I found out that even if I'm a bit behind in some parts of my study It's not that bad, I'm doing well even though I had quite a few days off because of illness. I am a lot better now, no sign of the flu and my mind seems to be operating at peak efficiency again. I look forward to seeing your next deviation but don't rush! It's good to hear from you!
I've started up a Sci-fi club. It's to do with Transformers but most other Sci-fi content is allowed, even Star wars and own concepts. I built it to be safe for work and for the most part morally clean. A safe place for people to experiment with designs without having their eyes burned out of their sockets by explicit content XD

Nice robots, I am surprised you don't have more page views

Thanks! I've got a thing for robots. As far as page views I thing I just have to spend more time looking around at other people's work. In my experience, it's very difficult to draw much attention from the live feed alone.

I know! there are too many people submitting to DA so not everyone gets an equal chance to be in the spot-light... I guess that is the world in general though LOL.

Yeah, there's all kinds of goofyness on the live feed but a lot of it is genuine. Some people like to express themselves through a photograph, some through a scribble. I like to spend some time working on something before I submit it, so I have relatively few deviations. Plus I haven't specialized much. I'm sure there's a robot-drawing club around here somewhere I could join.. probably a several.

Be sure to join a big one.... The small ones are probably already empty, or are going to be empty soon.Β I am the creator of a dead group.
I don't understand abstract art... But it gets so much recognition LOL. It is just a bunch of scribbles or swipes of paint on a canvas, why is it so popular???
I also don't get photography, can't anyone take a good picture?

Bummer, I'm sorry to hear that. Why do the bigger groups kill off the smaller ones?
There's so many fetishes on DA, who knows. I didn't even know what inflation art was until I got a profile on DA, now I see it everywhere. There's definitely an art to photography but with today's technology everyone and their dog has become a photographer. I pretty much browse only traditional art for the reason that it is more likely to be genuine and one's own work, and also because there's less pornographic content. Of course, DA's 'adult content' filter has some huge holes in it but it's not called deviant for nothing.

The bigger groups are more attractive than the new small groups. So if a deviant sees a bigger group they are more likely to join it than the smaller group. I think it has to do with the fact that the deviants want more people to see their works, so they join the bigger groups.
What is inflation art????
I think I can go outside and film with the FLIP camera and then get a very artistic looking frame from the film and post it on DA and say I am a photographer. It has become so easy with the use of photo editing and other such tech.
I am genuinely more interested in traditional art (paint, markers, pencils) than with the computer stuff, so I tend to just search for that... When I do search, which is aΒ rather rare occurance.
I don't browse that much so I don't see that much 'adult content' on here... I think the system of "Is there mature content in this submission" is kind of silly, since anyone can check the "no" box even though their picture is heavily 'adult.'

I just don't see why people already in a small group would leave, unless there is a limit to the number of groups you can join.
Inflation art, from what I've heard, is that strange phenomenon where people like to depict people and characters puffed up and oversized like a balloon. Apparently a lot of people are greatly amused by it.
Ditto on appreciating traditional art. The digital art here is mind-blowing, but I like to see what others can do with the basics and see how I might improve.

They don't exactly leave, since it is a bigger hassle to leave than it is to just stay in and not show up.... Which is what they do.
LOL I have never heard of it before, sounds pretty lame.
Yes, I mainly look at art on here for educational purposes too. Especially to see techniques as to how to draw certain hard-to-draw things... Like hair, for example.

RatedEC10 In reply to DanielsCustomizables [2015-12-01 07:54:47 +0000 UTC]
Oh yeah, hair is a challenge for me too. Plus in the realm of all possibilities to include droids, dragons, and all manner of weapon-weilding critters, I just haven't gotten motivated to sit down and study flowing locks of hair yet... maybe I'll get around to it eventually.

LOL, since I only draw people, I want to make sure I can stuff as much detail into my pictures as possible. SO I look to find how to draw each part of a human in at least some detail... I need to work on eyes though, mine are rather bland.
The detail comes naturally when drawing Robots and other such things, because there are details that are absolutely needed to make it a robot, such as joints and metallic structures.

RatedEC10 In reply to DanielsCustomizables [2017-07-19 10:24:22 +0000 UTC]
Agreed. That is an interesting statement about only drawing humans. May I ask, is that a conviction of yours? Or just a natural inclination? I should probably challenge myself to draw more humans.Β

I got into drawing only drawing humans, so I don't think I can really draw anything else. But I don't really feel like it either.Β

I appreciate that. My next deviation features a human character, but I watched and paused several youtube videos to glean the details from, so I'm not sure if that really counts. It amazes me when someone can just make up a character from imagination.Β
