Oooo, we have some things in common! Aren't you just loving the weather this winter? I'm in Southern Vermont, near Brattleboro. I feel perpetually cold. How did you wind up in Vt? I was born here.

I have some of my digital works up in Brattleboro -- have had four shows there in the last year, for Gallery Walk. I feel cold, too, our house is too big and old to heat properly. I have too many allergies to really enjoy it here, I wish I could live by the ocean...maybe someday. I was not born here, but have lived here on and off for most of my life. I like the Raven, the bird, the spirit. Did you choose that name because of the bird?

I am so fond of ravens. I think they are very intelligent, funny, and wise. I like their stories in all different folklore. That's why I chose the name. Yeah, we have a big house too that doesn't heat right. Living by the ocean sounds like a wonderful idea...I hope you get to someday. Do you have works showing in Brattleboro now? If so, let me know where, I'd love to go see them in person!

I have works up at Able Body Massage Center in West Brattleboro, in the same building as the West Brattleboro Post Office. They have odd-ish hours. I also have two pieces at the Hooker Dunham Gallery...they are up for auction to benefit the Women's Crisis Center. In August I will have a show at the Latchis Theatre. All of those shows are strictly my digital photography/photomanipulation. I'll hopefully find some other shows in between for my paintings, but we'll see. I may just sell on ebay to make some cash. I'm going broke buying art supplies!
I used to live in Chelsea, VT. While there, I had a lot of visions with a ravens in them, and had an amazing experience alone on top of a mountain involving ravens flying through a heavy fog/mist. Very powerful.

Yup, they do have odd hours there....but I will have to try and make it to West Bratt. and to the Hooker Dunham. Keep me posted on when the Latchis show will be! I really love your work, seeing it in person will make it all the more wonderful.
Very interesting on the raven note...sounds beautiful. I think they always mean something, moments with ravens. They've figured in my life for me for quite some time now. They've kept me going in times of doubt, and cheered me when I was sad, was my company when I was lonely, I could go on and on...one of my walls is just a collage of raven pictures. It's comforting for me.

Just in case it's not clear: The gallery at the Hooker-Dunham building is not the one on the ground floor -- that's Catherine Dianich Gallery. If you're looking at her gallery from 20 feet away you'll see the stairway to the left of her gallery and then to the left of the stairway you can walk straight into the Hooker-Dunham Gallery. I think you can also enter it from the lower steps (it's part of the theater). I have no idea what their hours are.
Also, at Able Body I have 18 works up, I think it is. All of the Buddhas are in the waiting room, and everything else is in a room behind the waiting room desk. (The door is open unless there's a meeting in there.)
The women at Able Body are very sweet and friendly.
