Well that's kind of rude. I actually charge less than a lot of my contemporaries.
The reason I charge so much is based on the amount of time it takes me to make what I draw. For example, my lowest cost commission is a sketch bust shot for $20. These typically take me around 1-2 hours to draw based on the amount of detail, meaning that I'd be making around $15 an hour. There's also the factor of unreliability. When you work at a store or something like that you have regular hours that you go to work that you can rely on. But when you work as a freelancer like I do you never know when your next job is going to be, so the time you spend working is more valuable.
I've actually been thinking of raising my prices because of this. Currently I'm not really making enough from the commissions that I get.
If you're unhappy with my prices, then I'm sorry, but I have no interest in lowering them, and I'm honestly a little insulted that you would say that my work "isn't worth it" when it's a skill that has taken me years to hone.

1) the prices are for the artwork, so I don't see why the distinction really matters
2) if you're cool with making 1$ an hour, then good for you! But I'm not.
3) pretty unfair of you to assume that I didn't put effort into something just because you don't like it, but given some of the things I've said in the past I prolly deserve it, lol. Glass houses n' all.

Where's chapter 7 of Night of the Were-Things?

The next NotWT may be a bit lateHi, guys.
For the past six months, ive made it a priority to always have the next chapter ready on time. This way, i dont fall behind and can keep the story moving consistently. Even when i ran out of backlog, I did my best to ensure i still had everything ready. Unfortunately, recent events have made it more and more difficult to produce pages, and today something happened that has made it near impossible for me to be able to have the next chapter done on time.
Trust me when i say that no one is more upset about this than i am. This delay will only make it more difficult to get back on track, and thats why i had been fighting so hard to prevent it. But some things are unavoidable, and im just going to have to roll with the punches.
The next NotWT will be up in a few days, along with the QnA, as usual. Once more, im so so sorry, and i promise that this will never happen again.
