So we have a floof design that a person wants to be roan but which I'm going to tell her should be varnish appaloosa, what are the genes for that again? Bucktooth You sent me a comment with all the appaloosa genes once but I lost it and google isn't helping me! D:

Appaloosa is nLp or LpLp - same for all types :) (Smile)

Okay! I thought there was that ptn 1 and 2 and all that stuff, but I think it might be simpler just inheriting the same type of appaloosa from parents.
So for example:

LpLp x LpLp = half chance of each parent's appaloosa
LpLp x nLp = foal gets the appaloosa from the dominant parent
nLp x nLp = half chance of each parent's appaloosa

Is that alright, do you think?
