Do you think I managed to express the emotion in a realistic manner or did it fall too deep into angst?

Oh, the emotion in it was perfect! It was heartbreakingly realistic, actually. Honestly, it reminded me very much of a boy I know who is struggling with a similar situation. :/ The angst is laced in so perfectly with everything else that it seems quite natural--not overdone at all, IMO.
It's a really wonderful piece.

With Microsoft Office Word?

Well, yes and no. Word is where I write everything, because it's a lot easiet to work with than NotePad or something similar, but in order to upload to dA the document has to be HTML, PDF, or Text. The easiest way for me to do it is just to re-save the final version of whatever I want to upload as a .txt document (or in other words, in Notepad instead of Word) so that dA can use it. Does that help at all?
[And sorry if that was way too much pointless information. I just got the feeling that's really what you were asking? My bad if I'm totally wrong about that...

No, that's what I was asking. Every time I try to upload something on dA from Microsoft Word, it won't let me.
So what are these other programs, now?

Oh don't worry, it took me ages to figure it out. Basically, when saving in Word change the document type to "Plain Text" and Word should do the rest for you. To change the document type, just click Save As and look at the bottom of the pop-up box. It'll say "Save as Type:" or something similar. Hope that helps.
