Oh, you're very welcome! I'm all about the Pokemon as plants and animals, and with you I hit a freaking gold mine! Unfortunately, I'm currently unemployed so I will not be able to commission anything, much as I'd like to. However, when I get a job I may just commission Serperior from you.

I've tried my best to make them as biologically similar to real animals as possible while still recognizable as the original pokemon. Results have varied.

I would say you're mostly successful. And at least for me, the thought really does count in this case. One of my favourites is definitely Mr. Mime. Very amphibian-like. Sort of, but not quite an axolotl, and oddly it works. I was thinking of making him a frog because of his finger pads, but the "hair" definitely works as gills.

Thanks, I found that many of my least favorite pokemon (like Mr. Mime) were actually the most fun to redesign. The challenge of transforming something silly into a realistic animal is the main reason I started this project.

Yes! I always hated Pokemon like Mr. Mime and Magnemite. That is, until I started imagining them as animals anyway. I actually have a list of all Pokemon with corresponding animals and plants I imagine them as. Oh! By the way, you and many other mention how hard it was to find an animal for Jynx. Completely by accident, I believe I've found the perfect animal: the montevideo red-belly toad! pinktreefrog.typepad.com/.a/6a⦠If that isn't a Jynx, I don't know what is.
