Well, where to begin. I'm a Michigan boy living in Indiana. I'm an avid boat watcher, rail historian and ferroequinologist (NOT A FOAMER!). I'm a big alternate history buff. I'm a sy-fy nerd when it comes to Star Wars or The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Don't Panic!). I'm a bit of a weeb. And I'm an amateur writer, have several stories I'm working on right now, and am helping a few other people with theirs. I was wondering about the possibility of HSR in your TL.
How would the PRR be able to get freight from New York to DC? I was thinking that they could buy a few ex-RDG and CNJ lines from the B&O since Amtrak of my TL would own the NEC.

I'll tell you what it was a pleasantΒ surprise to find the engine in much better shape than I thought when they first started working on her. I thought being out in the open and neglected hoarded by the city would make things an utter nightmare for her relocation and restoration.Β

Yes. I did see it back around New Year 2016-2017 and it looked really good. An interesting thing is that the google street view for the park is actually a headcam shot from the huge picnic that the organization had when they announced the restoration.

Just how long do you think dieselization could have been slowed if your Esch Cummins revisions came to be.
At leas,t could name how you think certain railroads would have done dieselization and when?

It's possible that it could have been pushed back into the late 1960's like in England. Probably the terminal railroads would dieselize first, and the others would be a toss-up. I guess it depends on the railroad. But I'm fairly certain they would all be dieselized by 1970 at the latest.

Another thing. I was wondering if you could give additional ideas for what to do with these interurban lines I plan to split up among first rail lines, then preservation societies.
