# About me

I am Stefan Mursic from Lake Illawarra in Australia!

Student of Science, Physics and Mathematics.
Previously have poked about in the printing industry, currently have a casual position at a canvas printing shop.
I love reading books on science, physics, philosophy, psychology, secular humanism. I'm also fan of Science Fiction and Fantasy novels.
I consider myself as an artistic person. Though I'm not a virtuoso at painting or drawing, I admire and appreciate the mediums. A more than average eye for composition is what has made me enjoy Photography in the past.
I have a new interest in birds and many new uploads will be bird photography.
I occasionally enjoy painting miniatures. I also construct beautiful fabric hard-covers for old paperbacks in my collection in order to liven up my bookshelves.
I'm a musician of sorts. I play Guitar, Harmonica, and I sing. I also play around with Banjo and Mandolin but not in any serious way. My musical style hovers around the genres of acoustic rock, folk and indie as are my influences, but it's hard to define. I enjoy writing songs and poems.

I absolutely love music. I regularly assemble mix CDs for my partner, Josephine. I also amalgamate many playlists for my personal enjoyment. I spend lots of time listening to music as well as assembling the playlists.

I'm a major advocate for scientific literacy, critical thinking and skepticism. I abhor pseudoscience and the spread of superstitious ideas due to the damage it causes. I am critical of all religions, though not aggressive or bigoted towards believers. I promote secular humanism which means freedom of and especially from religion. I support and accept ideas which have been confirmed by well-practiced experiment and formulation.

Back in high school: I was awarded the Australian International Conservatorium of Music award for Excellence in Music on the 7th of December at the annual presentation night of Lake Illawarra High School. I was a semi-finalist in the 'Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize 2009' I was also awarded the Jen Madsen's Photographic Award on the 7th of December, 2010.
