Most of the models I use come from pre-made bases - DAZ's Victoria 4, Aiko 4, etc - and my characters are built from my own combinations of morphs and edits to those figures Other items, like the tongue model, are models I've purchased (Flesh Forge's Tongue Plus) and then heavily modified myself.

Yes, it is! More expensive, since you need to not only purchase a lot of figure morphs (base figures from DAZ are generally free, but kinda simple), and then you need to get clothing and props as well, but the learning curve is lower and there's a lot of good content out there to use. Building from scratch can go quicker if you're used to the process and make yourself a starting point you can just edit each time, but it's more than I'm interested in delving into. Making the pictures themselves is what interests me, and whatever tools work best is what I'll go with
