My real name is Britta and I'm currently attending community college in SoCal. I normally stick to traditional art, and most often with a ballpoint pen, but sometimes I stray into other media like digital and acrylic. Well I've been practicing landscapes and character design thingies by myself though I haven't submitted any of them, they're just really rough sketches. But I want to submit a ton of stuff soon to this account this summer!

Ugh gosh I'm trying with anatomy too. I haven't completely forced myself to learn it from references yet, but that'll probably come soon. Last night I tried to draw a girl standing kind of at a 3/4 angle. I can draw the face fine, but the body is just like waaaaaat.
Hands are terrible. I hate hands. They're the bane of my existence.
I want this summer to be good for me and art too, but I have to get a job. ;~;

Lol it's the opposite for me, the body is fine, but the face is like waaaatt! I have a lot of references I could use now though, I made a pinterest for the hell of it not so long ago and decided to just repin the hell out of any anatomy references I've found here is the link: [link]

I find the method of the circle for the top of the head and lines work. Have you tried using that method?
But yesss. I have to get a job. I'm 19 and I still live with my parents. They pay for everything, and I need to pay for my own stuff. I really actually -want- a job, even though I feel I'm going to regret saying that after I get one. I need to go to the mall and ask around, which I'm terrified about. ;_;

I'm terrified about jobs too, even though I shouldn't be worrying about them for a couple more years.. X_X I don't want to burden my parents and I want to pay for my own stuff, but I am quite worried how it'll turn out and I'm not the most confident person when it comes to work and stuff..
