Yes, the same for me. I got back on dA about a week ago, so I'm just trying to find my old contacts! 

Meh, I took a break (again) because things were pretty shitty for me tbh. Anxiety, loneliness etc. Now I've moved to my own apartment in a new city with my cat to go to university so everything is great and I have so much more time on my hands to draw, so now I'm just aiming to get better and better! How have you been?

Ahh, I'm sorry you've had a rough time, but I'm glad things have been getting better for you. =) That's cool that you got to take your cat with you!  I've been pet-less for about a year now but I'm looking into getting a ferret.  Hopefully I can get that sorted out soon!

My work has been really busy lately so I haven't had a lot of time for drawing and stuff, but it's starting to calm down now so I'm hoping I can finally catch up on things.  I'll look forward to seeing more art from you, too. =)

Thank you, it really means a lot that you would be interested in my original stories!  I do indeed write original fiction, but I haven't really posted the stories themselves online.  Most of the things I submit on this account are characters and worldbuilding stuff from my original stories . . . I know that's not quite the same as posting the actual narratives so it's not really what you were looking for, but it might at least give you an idea of what the stories involve.  My main project is about a pirate crew in a fantasy world.

I do hope to get around to finishing Pilot Light someday too, I've just got to find time!

I'm working on a webcomic myself. Got the first five meh pages of the prologue up. Just looking to finish the rest, then finally get on with the story lol.

(although in my case it's the procrastination that kills me.)

I LOVE Pilot Light! No matter how long it's been, I eventually come back and read that story again.
In fact if you update it again I probably will read it over again.

Yeah I would love to have them published as actual books, but who knows if/when that's ever going to happen.  If all else fails I'll probably post them online eventually, but I don't think they're really in a publishable state at the moment.

Ahh that sounds cool, have you posted your webcomic online anywhere?  I've had a few ideas for webcomics over the years but I don't think it's the kind of thing I'd be able to keep up on a regular basis, so I've never really done anything with them.

Thanks again for your nice words about Pilot Light, it really means a lot that you would not only read it once, but again!  Honestly I need to reread it myself, so that I can get back into the vibe to update it . . . someday.

Of course! Good fanfiction is hard to come by! Yours is interesting, and one of my personal favorites.

Only thing I remember being odd was the lack of "" So it took a page or two to get into it, but I got used to it.
After that it was totally awesome.

Oh wow, your webcomic looks great!  I love the art style, and the story sounds like an interesting premise.  I hope you do manage to get into a routine of updating it regularly - I'd love to see more. =)

Ahh, do you mean how I use single quotation marks for dialogue instead of double?  I've had a couple of people mention that before.  I think this is actually a style difference between US and Australian publishers, because most of the books I see do use the single quotation marks like in Pilot Light!  I actually used to use doubles a long time ago, but switched to singles because that was what I saw more often in books.  I can see how it would be confusing for someone not used to it, though!

Huh. I wondered why that was. in America we use "double quotation marks" for words. 'Single Quotes' I've often seen used for thoughts. Same with italics and parentheses.

It's weird, because I do sometimes see the double quotation marks even in Australian-published books.  I think the single quotation marks are the standard in the UK, and although Australian English is mostly based on UK English, we have some influences from US English as well.  At least America is consistent!
