Hi!! I'm so sorry for my silence, but I had my final exam at school, holidays the choice for college... I really hadn't had any time at all to take a look here at deviantart!
Anyway, I've given a look at your work... I love the light effects you rendered, it's really fascinating! The only thing that I have to say it's about the nose... Maybe it's only my fault (with manga drawings I agree that's a serious risk) in drawing it too high and small, but... I'd imagined it a little bigger. However, I think it's really a good work, I like it!! ^^

I'm glad you put your exams first. congratulations a good luck with the new study.
About the colouring. I see a lot of area's, where I want to improve in. I made the choice to not in anyway alter your original sketch. And your right. All drawing, including Manga, works convincing when you get the proportions right. I myself find that the hardest thing to master. It's mainly a case of looking and observing and then practicing it on paper. So don't beat yourself up over it. Of course there are a lot of other things you can put in a drawing but it starts with proportions. For different styles there are different rules. I'm sure I'm far worse than you at drawing manga.
It was my first ever attempt to really 'paint' a scheme over a drawing and I thank you for letting me do it. I've learnt a lot...

What kind of study are you currently taking? Does it have anything to do with art or...

apo is so much fun
after 6 years of working in ms paint i went searching for other drawing programs. found a lot (gimp, blender, paint tool sai) but i couldnt find my twist. then i got twisted brush wich is cool and easy to use. but still was on a downloading frenzy then i came across apo and havent been off it ever since xD (almost did some ms paint work/ twisted brush but ok well its about the point xD).

all left to say is that aposhack (a chatroom linked in my signature as well) is the best place to go for help and kindness. there are always people in there willing to help. people like me but also people that have worked with apo for years. even the programmer can be found here once in a while

so come to say hello sometimes in the shack id say
