Oh one more thing I forgot and this helps to not go overboard with color. SHADE THE ENIRE OBJECT THE WAY YOU NORMALLY WOULD. For instance if the object is brown shade it with different shades of BROWN ONLY lol The you can add your "tinting colors" like yellow highlights and maybe Purple or blue shadow. This keeps the original color of brown in it so the object doesnt start to look like something else lol. Also Prismacolor pencils are the best, especially with realism. Geez where was all of this when I wrote my college application essay on color lol

with anime let it stand out but with realism blend i in more. It looks cool but unrealistic if it looks totally purple. Color's fun experiment and try different things! glad I could help

thanks from day 1 ive tried to use other colors to shade a color for example using yellow as a highlight for green and a dark blue in the dark areas this adds a punch to the drawing and also makes the colors look richer.

warm colors are great in highlights usally and cool colors are great in shadow areas (the shadow part took me time to learn)all of this is important BUT DONT GO OVERBOARD!!!! trust me its you dont want a picture where one object has the entire rainbow in it (ive done this WAY more times than I care to admit) Utimatly color is at its best when 1 or 2 extra colors are used to tint an obect. I know I got very long winded but I hope all this helps!!! Your graphite art looks great!! Let me know if any of what I said is unclear. Color can be kinda confusing but it makes a huge difference! good luck

All is well. Sadly Im notin art right now. Im at Lonestar this year and I want to do a graphics & animation program at Texas ATM (they have a new program there) They want me to take all my art classes there. I have been drawing everyday though. How is CCAD? Kinsey is in AP Art this year. The class is WAY more intense this year and they all have very serious talent, but Kinsey has been showing them up. She was crowned the "Art Idol" this year at the art show. I hope you have enjoyed your winter break!

Well I know you are doing amazing at school as always! I am at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) with Jackie! It is so much fun I love it here. The proffesors are amazing along with the classes so it is great. I am going to major most likely in Historical Preservation. Laura is at CCAD she loves her classes too but it is pretty intense. I heard about AP Art I went and visited twice during my break. Oh my gosh it was ridiculous the talent is amazing...I can't believe I even got into the class now. I saw Kinsey got Art Idol her piece was great so I am really happy for her! I hope your new semester is awesome and don't stop with the art Jesse you are just too amazing! Thanks and good luck to you too! SCAD, CCAD, and scabs. so many lol. There's no way I can stop art. Last year it was really modivating to watch everyone else work we all went all out and did our best. Thanks for letting me watch you work.
