Well, that depends on two things: 1) have you ever swum competetively before?
2) are you willing to put in a good effort and probably alot of time?
If you've swum before, then you should be fine. If not, then be prepared to spend alot of time on it.
I say try it out, if you don't like it you can always quit.

My specialty is drawing, usually using pencils, and I mostly enjoy drawing manga-type stuff. I'm also currently drawing concept art for characters from a story I'm (thinking of)writing, I might post them sooner or later.
