# About me

I took 3 years of Art in High School (eons ago). My teacher, Mrs. Consuegra, was from Cuba. She personally knew and hated Fidel Castro. Her family fled to the U.S. when he came to power. She was a gifted oil painter. If you didn't do well with oil (as I did not), you were not in her circle of favorite students. I admired and respected her none the less. The most common phrase she used when speaking to me was, "Very bad, boy." Despite that, I love Art and enjoy creating more than anything. Decades of making a living and raising a family took me away from it. It is now one of the few things I enjoy along with writing and photography.
