If it is, I swear one thing: he loved to know this city. Meet the famous Sears Tower (has an excellent overview), The Millennium Park, Michigan Avenue etc etc etc.Oh my god!!!
Well, I love meteorology and I know how much there is strict your climate. I remember seeing some videos at youtube now one of the most powerful storms that struck your region. It was on 04 August 2008. Remember!?
Well, I mean basically, is that long ago that we did not have a winter like this! Always always always raining, cold, snow, etc. etc.. We also had a cyclone, floods and landslides that hit unfortunately Madeira (Portugal we're still in mourning because of this fatality), the situations are not very used to, because our place is regarded as the "Country of the Sun", the Heat etc eheheh.
Lisbon is a city rich in architecture and history and also famous for its gastronomy. Let's say that Portugal is so full

Nowhere near, more than 4 hours away actually. Chicago is not my favorite city, I like St. Louis, Missouri much more. Millennium park is really neat, though, as well as the Sear's Tower. I personally like the state's Capitol much more. We have a lot of Abraham Lincoln. New Salem state park, Lincoln museum, Illinois state museum, etc. But I'm biased, being from the area!
Actually I really remember August 2008, my aunt was driving towards the city while it was being hit by a tornado! She luckily saw it soon enough she was able to turn around.
I have to say, I am glad we don't have to worry about landslides, we get pretty nasty winters though. About three years ago we got 4 feet of snow in 10 hours. "Country of the sun" sounds good right now, although I think there's nothing better than downstate (not Chicago!) during the spring, especially when you get around the prairie restoration areas.

Well, I confess that this day was pretty scary here in Lisbon. Besides this winter has been very strict here in Portugal

One question, you live in the USA!? Where!? I've been there by your country twice (New York and Kansas City Missouri). I loved both cities

Thank you so much! You want wild weather, you should come visit us int he midwest during tornado season! Yep, I'm from USA, I'm actually from central Illinois, so basically out in the middle of a whole bunch of corn and soybean fields where it's so flat you can watch your dog run away for 5 days! 
I would love to travel to Portugal some day, I've been lucky enough to make it to Italy, France and Spain. I love traveling and getting a whole new perspective on things, unfortunately my bank account doesn't appreciate it as much!
