Well it leads all the way from the second Vietnamese war in 2019-2021 and the 3rd world war in 2021-2026, all the way up to the current times in 2127, and the time between then has been a time of expansion and war.

For mine as a cooperative a effort between me and a friend of mine it's suppose to take place in the same world as ours but filled with mythical creatures magic and anthropomorphic animals. For the history of Agency it's take place all the way back to the dark ages during then the German Empire was constantly raided by a bunch of animal people over a hundred years a group of warriors well became so efficient at defeating the superior threat like the animal people they marked themselves in as a living legend called the "5 Generals" Β fourming the secret order of Vanguard. From then by First World War the order expanded into an internatioanl intelligence called "Aegis" the Agency have been pulling the strings shaping history ever since so everything went normal as our world did until up to 2025 so here's the discription of Aegis's state during the time of 2025Β creationizecelic.deviantart.coβ¦

SpectreCx9 In reply to Creationizecelic [2017-04-22 16:51:52 +0000 UTC]
Well, I divide it up into 2 categories. Pre-contact history and post-contact history. These are periods before and after first contact with alien species. The first contact war was a war fought with the gromnians, a ruthless species with a crumbled society, who's advanced technology from their own past remained. Their society had collapsed from some unknown enemy long ago, and now use what advanced tech they have left to subjugate other planets and species. They invaded earth to steal plantlife, trees for example, to replenish their planet's scarred landscape. The first contact war lasted 15 years and resulted in around 1.5 billion human deaths.

Interesting by the time of the first contact have humanity devolope Space travel yet?
π: 0 β©: 1
SpectreCx9 In reply to Creationizecelic [2017-04-22 17:40:37 +0000 UTC]
Well, as Plato once said, "necessity is the mother of invention." There was space travel tech at the time, such as rockets, but skipdrive tech was work in progress. The gromnian wars sparked heavy focus on space travel tech production, so to survive. The gromnian presence really sparked the earthling's desire for invention. When the war was over, and after they rebuilt what was lost, they'd fully developed the skipdrive for space travel. From the ashes of the old world, came the UNE, the United Nations of Earth. For the most part, humanity and anthrokind (other evolved species of earth) were united.

So, after all of this tech they'd created was used in the final battle against the gromnians, they'd realized that they'd experienced worst-case scenario and came out on top, and now they had all of this tech to use. The question on whether or not life existed elsewhere was answered, and after surviving a xeno invasion, they weren't afraid anymore. So, they were off into the galaxy, exploring and colonizing worlds. However, they'd set foot on another sentient species' home planet.... The home planet of the duerlusian star empire.

Yes. At the time the main story with the characters presented takes place, it is only in the Milky Way galaxy. Or, part of the Milky Way galaxy.

The Duerlusians were a very warlike race, and in any other scenario, they would've killed the humans that landed there. However, the Duerlusians felt that the humans were a rather naive race, and gave them the option to leave. However, the human's outlook of aliens were tarnished after the gromnians, and the humans assumed that surviving the gromnians meant they could take on the Duerlusians. So, in probably the most ignorant move in human history, the invasion of deursu begun. Many see humanity as the "bad guy" of this conflict.

SpectreCx9 In reply to Creationizecelic [2017-04-23 04:20:36 +0000 UTC]
Yes. The humans were also afraid of aliens after the first contact war, and this led to the new war with the empire. The war between man and the Duerlusians, which is now known as the Sidewinder wars, added another 15 years to conflict with an alien species. 30 years of war doesn't exactly provide a hopeful outlook on the universe. The UNE and the empire fought it out until they brought each other to their knees. Finally, they'd all realized that they had to stop. The Duerlusians had a newfound respect for the humans. They'd never encountered a species that had a fighting spirit and ability comparable to their own. They quickly became close allies soon after.

Yes. Humanity had some serious trouble getting on their legs in the galactic community. And once they did, they STILL had to fight to survive. There were numerous other alien species that might've wanted humanity either dead, enslaved, or assimilated into their own society. But the biggest enemy humanity faced was itself. The Hegemony, a Eurasian-based communist alliance had once again reformed, and had started plotting against the UNE yet again. The "coalition" wasn't really a coalition at all. It was a full-on dictatorship lead by a man known as "Xevos." His army was mostly collected of repurposed work androids. One of the biggest human faction problems the UNE faced offworld was the Grey Seed Cabal, a massive organization that often engages in criminal activity, such as slave trade, drug trafficking, and illegal weapons trade. They had a surprisingly large and strong force of type-3 cyborg soldiers known as CAGE operatives, or simply CAGE soldiers. (Type-1 cyborg: a person who has a small amount of cybernetics, such as a few small components to enhance the senses in the back of the brain, or maybe an integrated computer system lining the spine up to their brain. Type-2: someone who has more significant implants, such as having an arm, leg, or another part of the body completely replaced by a a cybernetic version. Type-3: an individual who has most of his body completely replaced by cybernetics, only having the main organs like the brain or heart left. Sometimes, it isn't even the organs left, and it is only the brain, with the organs replaced with synthetically-grown versions.)

Yes, the Hegemony isn't really the bad guy of this story. Not ideal-wise. Really, they fight for resources, and always have fought for resources. WW3 was fought over resources (and early expansion into space, like Martian colonies.). I should mention that WW3 was a pre-Contact event, and took place a few (maybe 25) years before the First-Contact war.
