Hey your pics with waterdrops are great, what lens do you need to be able to take pics like that?

Do you think you can get some waterdrop shots with a 18-55mm lens?

Speedbird1961 In reply to MarieAndersson [2008-09-09 23:12:02 +0000 UTC]
I think it can be done with any lens, but for good results, a macro is ideal for any close up shot because of its ability to focus at close range. This close focus cannot be acheived with anything except a Macro Lens. .

Can I ask you a question Bill: how much does a 20D for example cost in Canada, because in Croatia it costs about in US dollars 1900.

Choni23 Not to sure on a 20D anymore as you really can only get a used one at this point. My 30D cost $1299.00 for the camera and kit lens. Our dollar is on par with the U.S at this time. Since the kit lens is not to good you would have to buy a new one like my Tamrom 28-75mm F2.8 or my Tamron 90mm Macro for $550.00 each. The Canon 430EX Speedlite costs another $400.00. Add a tripod for $120.00 and a new gadgit bag for $70.00. A very expensive hobby for sure. Hope this helps

Tnx any way, I asked because my aunt lives in Chicago and I would ask her to buy me something there, because in Croatia it is much more expensive.

hey there, you have some great shots there.do you use your computer when you set up for the water shots , thats how i do , i find that when you take the pic it uploads instantly , on a 17" screen, you can make those minor adj.
keep up the great work

Thanks a lot. I dont use the computer for instant uploads because it takes 2 to 300 shots to get a single good shot. My studio is in my basement anyhow and the computer is on the second floor. I take about 300 or so shots, then go upload and see it there is anything good
Cheers
